What is the best way to create a crowd? I am doing some scenes at a wedding with a reception, and I would like some fast a dirty way to do it without individually creating a bunch of people.

Depending on camera angle, I would render to .png, no background in the scene, but put in the background later in photoshop, (or whatever image editing software)
I just typed crowd+wedding in Google Images search field to see what Google comes up with.

There is a vendor who has brought out low poly people for crowds and I believe it even has a generator but I forgot the name ><<br /> Anyone can jump in here? :)

Wasn't this Predatron with his Loretta and Lorenzo figures as well as his other LoRez items.

Yes, MOM crowd over at rendo.
Seems to work in DAZ 4.5. Not really 3D though.

If you already have a few figures in the scene, you could try instancing, with slight variations on rotation and scale of the instances, although I'm not sure how big of a crowd you'll be able to get before it gets problematic. Not the best solution, but it might work under certain circumstances.
