Importing models with texture from Zbrush?

Hi,

I don't know whether this is a Bryce or Zbrush question. Does anyone else use these together? I would like to use Bryce's IBL lighting to render objects created in Zbrush. The materials editor in Bryce is very good at things like glass and self-luminous objects. I did  an experiment years ago and imported an OBJ file together with its texture from an early version of Zbrush to Bryce. I think it was a matter of simply clicking export. Now I can't do it without the texture wrapping incorrectly. I've messed about (newbie) with settings but Bryce seems to have a square shaped texture map and zbrush has a "T" shaped texture map. I think what I need is a way of exporting Zbrushes texture map in Bryce's format. Can anyone help please?

  • You'd have to make sure you have unwrapped the mesh in ZBrush and that the texture has been made for the uvs. Polypaint doesn't normally import with an obj, though Blender, I believe, can handle it as vertex paint.
