Newb question - opening clothing

Hi everyone,
I have a character who is currently wearing Tale Hero, which doesn't have any morphs to expose the character's chest.
I was wondering if there were any beginner (or possibly intermediate) ways to open up or rip the shirt open. It doesn't have to be pretty or exact - I can use shadows and creatively render around it to an extent.
Can this type of editing be done in Poser, or do I need to use another program?
Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

deformers, they can do quite a bit if you know what you are doing.
How would he be able to d-form if that bottom part with the huge silver circular thinga-ma-jiggy is there? Looks like it is attached to the shirt. I know you might be able to hide it in the surfaces tab, but the bottom of the shirt appears different than the top part.
Can you do bones and weight mapping to get it to move over- and take out the fasteners in the diffuse channel and just reinsert torus primitives for those?
Yeah, but if there isn't a split seam in front, they probably won't be able to do enough. If that's the case, then no, you'd need to export the shirt to a modelling program, except that a morph created that way won't work, because of the extra vertices from splitting the seam.
There is, ls always the option to use transparency maps to do it.
My thoughts were also polygon editing tool- take out the mesh then just hand color back a tad bit darker border to "seal" the edges. CB- do you use Photoshop or any graphics program that you could touch up the edges if you took some out?
unfortunately mesh welded or I could have
tried sinking bits in
needed to turn off smoothing to use morploader
DS put dsf in \My Library\Data\VaL3dArt\D5TaleHero\Shirt\Morphs\Wendy\open
think I can share dsf morph but better find out first
not terribly good for animation either
think somebody could make a better one anyway
That's pretty much exactly what I was after. Can the morph be pushed past that limit by any chance?
Thank you very much for having a look! Hopefully sharing of morphs is permitted.
I would want to create a better one, that was pretty crude.
will find out more first before trying.
Yep. I'm doing this for a comic I'm putting together, and the style is a mixture of sketch-style renders overlaid on 'proper' renders. It's totally fine for the solution to be inexact, because the artwork itself is (deliberately) a bit smudged.
I posted a thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/36452/ maybe not in time for you but a question that needs an answer for future things I may try.
Thanks for that! I'm in no particular hurry. If you're happy to share that morph with me please, even as it is now, I'd be extremely grateful.
I want to help, I really do, but confused myself now
