Trouble with downloading clothes onto fiqures!

Why is it that the Majority of clothes that I purchase that are Genesis compatible will not even load onto the characters?

    Greetings,
    Does 'Fit To' in the Parameters tab, under General / Misc allow the clothes to load onto the characters?

    If so, then one problem might be that your Content Management service isn't running (it causes problems with automatic fitting if it's not running), and the other might be that you're (potentially) buying Genesis clothing and putting it on a Genesis 2 character. It'll auto-fit, but again, you need CMS running for it to do it with just a double-click on the clothes.

    Sometimes it does but alot of times it doesn't even allow to download it at all!

    I enjoyed your gallery on deviant art by the way, I'm actually developing a comicbook. you'll have to check it out when I'm finished with it!

    What do you mean by download? I assume not download, from DAZ to your machine. Is it not installing? If so, how and to where are you trying to install? Not appearing in the libraries in DS? Where did you install, and where are you looking? Not loading into the scene? Are you sure it's a model and not a material setting for a model you are trying to load?

    I'm with Richard, lots of the files are just textures for clothing sets. The clothing the texture belongs too needs to be loaded and selected before those texture sets can be used. Everything in the store is not a full set of clothing that will load. Here is an example...

    http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/zen-for-byrony Zen is a TEXTURE set for Bryony. It will only work on the clothing set.

    I'm talking about downloading it to a figure in a scene! It will ask me if I want to apply or fit a figure and when I click on one of those choses it won't even downloaded in the scene at all!

    OK, that isn't downloading so it would avoid confusion if you said you were trying to load an item into the scene, or trying to apply it to a character. That said, there are a couple of alerts you could be describing; if it's telling you you need to have an item selected then that's definitely a materials (or other) preset, not an actual model, so either you have bought an expansion set rather than the base or you are in the materials folder and not the folder with the models. Alternatively it could be the message you get when applying a character preset, asking whether you want to modify the selected figure or load a new one - in that case, if you don't have the clothing loaded, try selecting the load a new figure option.

    If that doesn't help, please provide a screenshot of the error alert you are getting - in Windows 7 or later you can use the Snipping tool, in older versions hold down the alt key and press the PrtScr key to take a screenshot of the dialogue box on its own then pate it into Windows Paint and save as jpg.
