Build a Dream promotion

I picked the 45% off option of one of each category. I also note that most of the items in the categories are already on sale, so is the 45% off
deal on top of those sales? If it is it's not working in the check out. has anyone run into this problem besides me, or have an answer why it's not working?

Yeah, I don't get this sale. This promotion confuses me.
It says under Dream On, my items qualify as I have two characters, an environment and a 2 clothing set, but I see no discount on them.
I fiddled with it and decided that either the posted rules are wrong, the actual sale mechanism isn't implemented or, most likely, the fact that they're running several different sales with conflicting rules is causing them to cancel out. Whatever it is, it's clearly not working as advertised.
One of these days, DAZ will probably realize that infinite number of monkeys hitting the infinite number of typewriters that they keep in the back really isn't the most efficient form of store support team.
been trying to work it out too tried different combinations one item from each section, two items from different section and two items from one section horse 2 pack and one of the islands and the end prices kept being the total of the mark down prices with no extra bonus of 40 or 45% off no matter what you seem to choose combination wise then I tried working out from the normal full price with various combinations and then subtracted 40-45% off the total prices of each combo I tried and another way subtracted 40-45% each item individually off its full price and both end totals were pretty close few dollars roughly $2-$5 more to the the totals showing up in my checkout
I can see the prices aren't changing because the items remain the same price as they are currently on sale. Kind of frustrating actually.
these sales are sort of too complicated in my opinion to begin with. When they don't work it is worse.
Good Morning,
I noticed this yesterday but often times the "Hot Promotions" glitches seem to have been worked out by the afternoon, however I'm still getting the same issue today. The stacking for "Select 1 character, & 1 clothing, & 1 environment save 45%" option doesn't discount properly. I have chosen three items from the three categories associated with this promotion so that's not the issue. I've attached a screenshot of my cart. Based on the promo, my savings should be approximately $22.43. Has anyone else had this happen?
Trish
I was playing with this earlier (trying various combinations) and realised that you have to include one/two/three of "THESE" items (i.e. the new items listed above the text) in order to get the discount on the old items in the three categories below the text.
This is however complicated by the fact that all the "old" items in those groups already show a 30% or in some cases 40% discount whether you are buying them as part of the promotion or not.
I tried adding three of the new items (the shoes, the G2F character and the witch throne) to my cart then however many of the "old" items in the three categories I added and in whatever combination, I get all of them at 45% discount or better (if they are marked as 40% off already, they'll come in at approx 47% discount because of DAZ's weird mathematics).
The description is being updated but the rules should be:
Buy 1 new item at 30% off
Buy 2 new items at 40% off and also save 40% on the related items
Buy 3 new items at 45% off and also save 45% on the related items
I tried it too, but the math became too much for me! (I got as far as differential calculus in college before I crashed and burned; so apparently, this is even more arcane than that -- linear regression, perhaps?)
I decided to settle for Dan and the shoes, and get out with my sanity still (more or less) intact!
Intact and close to 0? *grin*
I agree it was all to complicated for me so I decided to sit this one out. But it's nice to know they are "now" updating the wording.
Intact and close to 0? *grin*
Remember, I got as far as calculus in college.
You're not actually dividing by zero; you're dividing by values approaching zero...!
A fine, but critical, distinction!
Edit: My original comment was wrong and removed.. I'm sitting out on this sale! LOL
merging this with the other thread about this
when this first appeared I bought the Lofn Bundle as that was what I wanted really out of the newer stuff and thought in the deal the newer and older advertised stuff were two completly seperate deals oh well that's the way it goes still happy with the Lofn Bundle deal though as I was going to get Lofn then saw the new bundle for it so that was good timing and bonus to me
