Autocorrect and the search feature

IMO, the autocorrect on the search feature is a too aggressive.

This morning I was looking for the Kensie dress, and searched in the text box for "kinsie". A misspelling, I know, for which I should be flooged and such. My third grade teacher has duly been notified.

The autocorrect "corrected" it to inside and showed me the results for the search term: "inside".

I tried again: "kinsie dress" - the autocorrect parsed it to "inside dress".

I verified the spelling with Google, and then tried to search "kensie dress".

The search gave me the results for "dress".

I still haven't found it. In fact, the kensie dress may be something I found on another site. It's still upsetting though that Daz autocorrects one word to a completely different word

It does that only if it can't find the word as typed - it's not so much auto-correct as a machine's best-guess at what was intended, though the guesses can be strange.

i have entered in the exact name of a product or vender, no spelling errors, and had it bring up something completely different. not often but enough times that it has annoyed me.

Instead of the current system, Can we get a statement to that effect with a clickable suggestion?

For that your best bet to get the request logged would be to open a support ticket for General Feedback
