Dust Prop

Just as the title says. a simple prop to add a layer of dust to other objects. The scenes I'm planning in the future will be in an abandoned house and using photoshop to try and add a layer of dust throughout all the images is going to be way too much work. even better would be a dforce prop so it can settle nicely where it is intended.

  • To get dust on things I suspect you might be best off draping a dForce plane and then using a shader to apply opacity, and a dusty normal/colour, to the level surfaces - the shader from TerraDome 3 might work for that.

I can't vouch for it yet as I only bought it in Fasgrab yesterday and haven't downloaded it yet, but...

Just from the looks of the images of the car comparison on the product page that is close to what I am after. After you tinker with it a bit, could you post an update if it will be possible to make a consistent layer like in the image I posted?

This is the best I've managed. It certainly suits my needs, but not sure about yours - not the flat layer of dust, more patchy. It utilises overlays so you could maybe make your own texture
