Issues with sceling of content when loading into 8.5 Pro - SOLVED

...having a little sizing issue with content from the Daz 3D directory. after I loaded a Genesis Gen5 character (Teen Julie) I could barely find her as the scale was incredibly tiny in the Assembly window.
I tried loading a couple other items and the same issue occurred.
Carrara is seeing all my content fine so that should not be causing the issue.
Is there some trick to getting things to load at their proper scale?
