Simple Q really I want to do proper animations for Daz4. Is there a proper pro-pack animation studio thing somewhere? I am not sure what I am looking for but I don't mind paying for it.
Anyone know what to get for Daz4 to make good animations?

That's about it available for Daz Studio. There are third party software for doing things like mocap with a Kenect that export as a BVH.

you don't need any thing - just depends on how much time you want
to put in learning - I have done some using just key frames .
you didn't say what type of animation you want to do .
The issue I've had precedes even animation. Accurate posing is a chore in DS. I've posted about this on other threads. Before one can begin to create a convincing animation from scratch, like convincing lip-sync using the relative shapes method which is by far more flexible than phonemes, one must have a way to pose using bones (bone shapes in most advanced software like Maya & Blender) to drive shape keys and deformer bones. Parameter dials are slow and clunky to use outside of character set up. And then one needs proper IK/FK chains. When I place an IK foot or hand, I want that control bone to stay put regardless of what the rest of the torso does. If anyone wants to know more about that, look up Humane Rigging by Nathan Vegdahl. The videos are probably on YouTube.
I would try to animate in Blender, but the process of getting a rigged and weighted character out of DS and into other software for which it was not specifically designed is extremely time consuming. And then there's material setup. And then there's the fact that the Genesis mesh is very polygon heavy, so one would have to create a proxy mesh to get 'real time' feedback when doing animation tests. Animation itself is an amazing art form. I suspect that there are no real CG animators working for DAZ. Mo-Cap doesn't count.
I'm no expert on animation. I have learned a few things in the past year: http://vimeo.com/user19091117
Have you tried this? I'm just getting into it.

Kevin, no, I haven't looked into that.
Clicking directly on a body part is probably the worst way to do posing. Sure, on paper the system used in DS looks like a great selling point to beginners. Just click and drag. And what a drag it is! I wouldn't even attempt the simplest of the walk cycles I've made in Blender using DS pose controls.
What I would love to see is a proper facial control system, like the ones professionals and students of CG use all the time. Believe it or not, it's actually EASIER than the click and drag parameter dial nightmare found in DS.
