Music Video using Daz

Hi Everyone,

I started this back at the beginning of November and it was an all consuming effort to complete (as of last night).
I had been tinkering around with Daz3D for a couple of years but never created anything of value...until I got
this project to create a music video. Nothing is better than OTJT.

So for all intensive purposes, this is my first video using Daz3D.

Nice work, I particularly liked the fly-thrus starting around the 2:00 point. I'm guessing some of the HUD type effects were 2D? They remind me of Particle Illusion, which I really enjoy using.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Technically speaking, I used Mandelbulber for the fractal geometries.
The spaceship model was by Herminio Nieves (found on renderosity or runtimedna - maybe both).
After Effects was the main editing software, but in retrospect I should have used Premiere for the
final output. Next time the work flow will be to set up the project in Premiere so that I can
scrub through the audio channel to sync the footage more accurately. Then for each video clip
create the special effects in after effects and pad them with enough time (probably 2 seconds) so
that they can be adjusted later in Premier to match down beats or major transitions in music.

As per the heads up, it was created with 3D layers in after effects...not nearly as elaborate as intended.
I could work on this for another few months if I didn't have to pay bills.

This being the first time I learned a lot of do's and don'ts so hopefully next time I can put more
effort into the "art" and not get hammered by the limitations and technical set backs.

    Cheers,
    JS
