Hello folks I am a new Carrara user and kinda dont know where to start learning the basic how to start using Carrara, any video series that might get my up and running? I also bought a few other plugins that where on sale as well, those where Mimic Pro for Carrara aniMate Carrara aniBlock Importer Pro Bundle I kinda dont if I instilled them correctly as well dont know how to test them. I just saw also octan render is avaiable as well for Carrara which is kinda cool. any news of development or known bugs would be awsome, I was think of maybe using Carrara in a pipeline from daz3d to blender 2.8 making small animation shorts and renders.

If you do a search for "Carrara training videos - Phil Wilkes - Infinite Skills - O'Reilly" you will find some pay for video Carrara training
Welcome to Carrara.
I also recommend a thread that is designed to help you learn the interface by building your first scene. It is not designed to build your first "awesome" render, just learn where basic stuff is.

Hi Diomède!
I always thought that a thread to ask small questions (even if it may seem stupid) of beginners, or even for the most experienced, would be interesting.
I didn’t know that was the purpose of your thread, the title didn’t make me think of it.
It’s time I took a look!
Thanks!
welcome to the forum
Carrara native content comes with a bunch of starter scenes
Lucky!!! When I can, I'd like to eventually (at least try to) collect boxed versions for all of the various iterations of Carrara!
Welcome!
Sweet! Thanks!
I may unload some of my old boxes one of these days. Are you located in the US?
Yes
Back when I collected the images of the covers for the Carrara Information Manual, they were very reasonable, and most of those versions were available in the box - except for those that didn't have a boxed version.
But, yeah... they got scarce, then they got expensive as the resurface!
