Can you save a piece of a figure?

Specifically, I am working with dream house. I would like to save the door of one room and paste it into another room. I would like to avoid pasting the whole room in the scene and make everything invisible except for the door. Is this possible?

    Since it's a single item, hide everything else in the scene and export as OBJ - using any preset you like, I suggest the DAZ Studio native one. Then import that OBJ, using the same preset, and copy the materials across from the original figure.
