Just bought this today specifically for the toy soldier and his drum. The drum and drumsticks and the flag are missing. No .obj files for it. Anyone else have this set and are yours missing, too? http://www.daz3d.com/toy-soldier-and-train-set

I found a drum and drum sticks in the props library, and a fife.

You're saying you got a fife?

Yeah the presets are there, but when you click them it says obj is missing

    It's an error I'm afraid.

The Hat, Fife and Sword all load for me, but not the Drum or the Sticks, missing OBJs

Ah thanks Jimmy. I don't have it installed at present, and can't install it at the moment as I am playing around in the poser cloth room, which is pernickety at the best of times.

Looks like a help request is in order

Does the drum show up if you look for it in your OS file manager?

If it is findable in the file manager, then it could be a path problem in the loading script or a wrong location...

    Thanks Pam

    @mjc1016
The geometry files that it is looking for, for the drum and the sticks, is supposed to be in Runtime/Geometries/maclean, unlike the others which are in Runtime/Geometries/props.

I had a look in the Installed Files in DIM, and they are not listed at all, and they are not in the downloaded ZIP either. Definitely an error in the ZIP file.

Yep yep to all the above. It's a shame, really, because I wanted to use the soldier for some promos for an upcoming product. I tried a render with four fife players, but that's kind of lame. I suppose I could make replacements, but it won't be the same.

I think there was once a freebie by maclean called "drum and sticks" in the old daz freebies. It's likely the missing objects are from that pack.

In the Toy Soldier exe installer readme from 2006 it says:

To use the drumsticks and flag poses you must have the Marching Drum with Drumsticks and the flag from the Daz Free archives.

Of course the original links don't work now :)

I don't know what DAZ have done here. I had completely forgotten I'd made the drum until I saw this thread. It's a freebie I made, and I *think* it's from 9 or 10 years ago. I don't even have the original files any more.

DAZ must have taken it and shoe-horned it into a mixed pack, and in the process, messed up the paths.

I'd try to help, but I really have no idea what they did.

    mac

I would contact Support - maybe they just put the old freebie into the product ...

    Or try with this one:
