Question About Animate

I was wondering if the animation for animate and animate2 for V4 and M4 will work on the Genesis figures, preferably without problems?

thumbs up
You'll have to offset the feet for the V4 animations, there's a setting to adjust the foot angle to fix that. And I think the fingers might require some fine detail tweakings but I'm not sure.
It's not just fingers. Some poses for shoulders and the abdomens will need adjusting in some AniBlocks. It all depends on if the pose in the blocks exceeds the rigs limits or not. Most of the time its a easy fix in the AniMate Graph editor.
Does anyone know if they will make animate files for Genesis 1 & 2, at the site I only saw them for the Gen4 series.
There are already some Genesis sets, I'm playing with the Swordplay Volume one set right now. It supports V4, M4 and Genesis1. You have to read but that is not the only set. I believe I have I have at least 3 for genesis now.
I make my own - its not hard to do .
The ones for Genesis sold here are shell we say - rip .........
bigh said "I make my own, it's easy to do."
Can you point me to any tutorials?
Right now I'm just delving into using a Mixamo animation. I got it to work, but the figure shifts around on "the floor" quite a bit.
I've tried going from one set pose to another, which works, but is unnatural.
I'd love to know how you do it and get any natural movement.
the best way is to watch some one move - how do they go from one pose to next .
never used Mixamo - so can't help .
some animation you get will have some shifts because they did not use the same model or didn't care to fix it .
you have to just keep working - it gets better as you do more .
The character rigging underwent some significant changes between the V4/M4 and Genesis figures - and then some slight but noticeable differences between Genesis 1 and the Genesis 2 figures. Applying an aniBlock designed for V4 or M4 onto a Genesis figure will give you some unexpected results that you will have to modify. If you apply a Genesis 1 aniBlock onto a Genesis 2 figure, you will get acceptable results in most cases.
GoFigure, the creators of aniMate, posted a fix for Genesis, which should allow the use of M4/V4 aniBlocks with Genesis. Find it here: http://gofigure3d.com/Amm/Genesis-Offset.zip
There's also a Pose Adjustment aniblock here: http://www.sharecg.com/v/67223/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/Genesis-Pose-Adjust-aniBlock

Shameless plug: We have produced and will continue to produce aniMate files for Genesis and Genesis 2. Swordplay, Investigations 3, Spy Moves Genesis and Zombie Moves Genesis all support the Genesis figures - as will our upcoming Everyday Moves set. We are also planning on translating all of our older sets over to Genesis over the coming year.
It's a huge bummer that the "living" animations from V4 didn't transfer to Genesis. The breathing, bounce, blink, etc morphs. It really is the little stuff that makes an animation good. And I know from experience how tedious animating the minutiae can be.
