Happy George Birthington’s Washday!
The whole world needz more birthdays :)
d'accord :)
stretching my birthday to birthday weekend.
tee hee - ize modernizing. for extra cents upgraded my phone service to data service. now i need a internets phone. been using the same motorola razor for 8 years. getting the galaxy lite. i'm gonna miss flip phone, 'Kirkette to Enterprise'.
can't decide if i should have coconut cream pie now or later
leftover fetcini alfredo, the one pasta dish not as yummi the next day, alfredo cheesy heaven is oily substance the next day.
oily substance, yuck. I know the feeling. Sorry to hear about the cheese. pasta dish sounds yummy though.
I may not move to Wisconsin after all because I found some local jobs. These jobs pay $45,000 for entry level IT positions. Funny how some mid-level administrative / MBA related jobs pay more than $50,000. lol
can't wait to build my own 6 core computer. The Luxrender, fancy shadows and HDRI lighting run slowly on a dual-core computer.
the healing value of lazing around, physically, emotionally, highly recommended :)
I guess the big philosophical issue is if you are asleep are you still lazing around? And how do you know you're not going to dream about work? Takes quite a few beers to work that stuff out
...ugh, I've had dreams (nightmares?) I was back at the old workplace. While I do need a break job wise, not about to go back to all the negative workplace politik I dealt with along with the commute from hell to get there.
yep, a lot of slowness on dual cores.
maximum # of cores would be kewl
is it Ragnorak this weekend?
i was watching craig furgeson, he said it's ranorak. wolf blitzer was the wolf god eating the sun.
...I'd be happy with a 25,000$a year job right now.
Of course I have no "real" IT experience. Building one computer hardly qualifies and I had some assistance in configuring the OS.
Out here "entry level" means a couple years of experience, firm knowledge of software/hardware and even some programming, along with several years of specialised training.
Heck I'm seeing even basic office jobs asking for BA/BS degrees.
The one thing Wisconsin has (especially compared to where I live) is a lower cost of living. particularly in Milwaukee. Just that for me winters would be totally brutal.
wuh oes dinoraul sale on Xereb DR - what a cutey :)
ooo saw a kewl Chandeliers - that should be fun to play with - with the luxus
ooo tyrex on sale :)

it would be impossible to live on min.wage Long island.
is your landlady single? Spring romance.
or maybe she'll reduce your rent for housekeeping help?
I am thinking of heading home soon
A vast majority of IT jobs are networking systems. At least in this area
I am going to go back to searching for a job Monday.
Is it me or is the Daz site having problems? Maybe it is a sign I should go home soon.
I'm not having any problems on on the store or forums.
then it is just me. I probably should start heading home soon anyway.

... question #1: yes, but independent, as am I.
...#2, I already do all my own houskeeping.
Minimum here is doable, tight, but doable. Oregon's minimum wage though is higher than the national rate. 9.10$/hr. Basically, a 40 hr week on Minimum would net me 350$ more per month than I was receiving on UC.
When I was laid off from my last job I was making only 2.40$ over the state minimum after 18 years with the company while being responsible for compiling the monthly data and statistics for the firm's most important client account. Such is the life in the service industry in a "at will" state.
...I know nothing about networking other than the cable that went into the back of the workstation on my desk connected through comm lines to the company's local servers and having to call the in house tech when the order printers would malfunction or the shipping system went down.
...well. "job searched out" for the day. Something like 120 emails this morning, many that linked to lists with the same job openings. I've tightened up my resume, reworked my profiles, and edited job search/alerts but I still keep getting notifications (sometimes duplicate ones) for positions I don't qualify for or that are out of town/state.
One good thing though, at least I'm no longer getting referrals for truck driver openings.. Now if I could only get rid of the PCT, RN/LPN, IT Developer, Various Business Management occupations, Receptionist, and Sales Rep positions it would make wading though the inbox every morning a bit simpler.
All I'm looking for are pretty much entry level positions like basic office clerical, warehouse inventory clerk, and/or customer service (inbound call/help centre type positions). I'm tired of being pigeonholed in admin and management. I just want something I can do everyday, do to the best of my ability, and forget about when I go home each night until I am eligible to retire with full SSI + bonuses (e.g. age 70).
As I mentioned I really am not into "climbing the ladder" at this stage and I don't see that as a bad thing like some feel it is.
...double post: hit the "quote" instead of "edit" button
I've done that. :)
I've done that. :)
Yep.
I would think you can handle a receptionist job. Crap money but it's something
....receptionist is what I refer to as a "pretty face" job, not suited a slightly overweight male in his 60s.
This person is the first impression of the business people/customers will see when walking into the office. Not to be sexist however a "smart" looking and dressed woman is more preferable for this position.
Morning. Big bright blue sky and enough of a gentle breeze to stir treetops makes for a perfect late summer Sunday so far. An all night arts festival has left mountains of rubbish up and down our streets, I guess someone will be along to clean it up sometime before it starts to smell :)
birthday upgrade  Product warning: data calls cause bill shock
...OK, lose twenty sanity points (no roll allowed) for that last expression. ;-)
And gain ten sanity back for the Call of Cthulhu RPG reference :)
BTW - have you seen Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Wars boardgame? :o
Is not polite to photograph a tek while they work right? Iz a little scary to see the insides of a Mac on the outsides of its case
eta Better not look
I think I better look for some drummer animations
my attempts with motion puppet in iClone are shocking!
