Is that the same Jack who likes everything that moves? I wonder if I can make G2M look like Captain Jack. What is the army version of Captain?

I would tell them that it would be unwise to get Win XP now...it will be a security hazard. Unless the laptops will never go online. Besides, I don't think they can sell XP anymore. Even Windows 7 is only OEM now, no retail version can be sold now.

I'm working on getting new OS for me and Diane. Poor credit card...I ordered an ASUS D550CA-BH31 notebook with 15.6" screen, Intel Core i3-3217U (whatever that means), 6 Gigs of RAM and a 500GB hard drive, and DVD+/-RW. It's Windows 8, but heh...it will replace her desktop and our vacation laptop at the same time. Killed two birds with one credit card. For me...I'm looking at Windows 7 Pro OEM from the shop I go to, plus an 120GB SSD to put it on. For those things that might not run on Win 7, I'll be able to boot from the old C: drive and run Win XP...after I disable the network. I think there's a way to do that in the OS, so it isn't physically disabled. That way Win 7 will go online, but Win XP will not. I don't know if I can afford more RAM right now, though. We'll see.

Jack says, "Interesting? Please define interesting, because it must mean something different from what I think. You think jumping over a candlestick, back and forth and back and forth, all day, is interesting?"

Different Jack. He wasn't so nimble, was he? He fell down and broke his crown (head).

...yeah going to need an income real soon like as right now I cannot afford Win7 32 for the notebook. Problem is, Office 2K (which is what I have) will probably not work anymore, and I really cannot afford to (nor do I want to because of the UI changes) upgrade that. Since 7 has gone OEM that also puts the wraps on any idea of upgrading the workstation to Pro so I can upgrade the memory. Not about go though a complete reinstall of everything on the workstation.

Think I'll wait until Win9 is released. Not going to touch 8 at all.

I have the Norton security suite as well as several other security utilities so not sure if those will help.

Good luck! I can't afford all this new stuff, but I can't afford not to. I can't take a chance on getting hacked and passing that hack on to my website. I do too much online to take chances like that. At least we got tax money back from everyone this year. Well, it's not all in yet, still waiting on Rhode Island.

You realize that there are a lot of Jacks in children's rhymes and stories? Mr. Horner is one I had forgotten about.
