Question about Genesis 2 Male

Okay, this might sound like a really dumb question, but, I can't seem to locate the base genesis 2 male figure anywhere. Is it for sale at the store or is it, like the female version, already part of the Daz software program, and I'm just not seeing it?

Daz Studio used to be a single 'install lump', but now some of the content has been split out into 'essential' bundles - and there is one for each generation of Genesis, plus one for base lights and shaders. You'll need to install at least a couple of those in addition to the program, not forgetting to ensure the program is aware of where you installed those content items to.
Would you mind posting links to the products I need?
In your product library
And the reason for the splits...everything, together, weighs in at over 1 GB of software/content.
Similar question for a Poser user.
If I'm reading this correctly, the base Genesis male starter content comes in the package when you download the Daz Studio product.
Is it necessary to download and install Daz Studio to get the Genesis 2 male starter? I've got the DSON thing installed already for M5, and it works very well in Poser but I believe he was Genesis version 1. I honestly don't remember how I got him into Poser.
It looks like you can buy the M6 figure and it comes with the base stuff as part of the package for Poser users. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks, folks!

I believe all 3 Starter Essentials (Genesis1, G2M, G2F) come with the DSON Importer. Search for "Starter Essentials" in your Product Library or DAZ Install Manager.
The Genesis products are entirely separate downloads from the DS program itself. M6 is an addon morph package for use on Genesis 2 Male. You do not need to "buy" anything to get Genesis or the Genesis 2 products.
And you get Genesis and Genesis 2 into Poser by installing both the DSON files and the Poser Companion Files, the DSON files being the actual product files in DS format, and the Poser Companion Files are the files that let you load those DS files into Poser.
Outstanding!
Thank you all for the info. I appreciate it!
