Long story short, I deleted the DAZ 3D folder in documents in another user account only too find out that the folder is linked to my account. So when i deleted it from that user account i couldn't access it from mine. Now i can't see any of the files in DAZ studio and even though i restore the deleted folder the files still don't appear in DAZ studio. I was wondering if i could reinstall DAZ to fix this problem but my only concern is if I have to re purchase my content.

No, you don't have to repurchase it. That's why DAZ Install Manager by default installs to the Public/Shared folder.

Ummm...that could be the one the OP deleted....in which case, the restore could have changed 'ownership' to the account it was restored from...

I suggest Uninstalling the DIM and CMS and DAZ Studio all and then be sure that they ALL get installed from your User Account. I strongly suggest the Default DIM public folder be the ONLY content folder until you learn more about content folders and how they function on multi user PC's. Be sure you clear the AppData Folder of all references to DAZ Studio before you start a full clean install.

IF you use CCleaner also run it to clear the registry before you do any new installs. Then your PC will be as clean as possible and ready for a full clean install.

In almost all cases like this, re-installing the program will make absolutely no difference, because it's a solution to a completely different problem.

Apart from the possible folder "ownership" glitch mentioned above, you must also check that the path to your restored content folder exactly matches where D|S is looking for your content. A path mismatch, which might have crept in when you did the restore, is the most common cause of the "content doesn't exist" situation, and sometimes it isn't very obvious if you don't know what to look for.

As for re-purchasing, that's never needed — you've bought it, so you'll always have access to reinstall it even if you've lost your local copies of the installers.
