Withered

I bought the withered for Genesis 2 male, but it seems to be a standalone figure - there are no morphs. not only that, but there are no poses, so i can't open and close the mouth. there are two versions, but as they are only slightly different from each other, they look pretty much the same - far from the claim of "endless variations". There was only one file download, and no poser options. is there a bug in my DS or is that it?

It's a genesis shape morph. It works like the rest. Did you select the head before looking for the head morphs? If you select Gen2Male (body) instead of Gen2Male head, head morphs don't show up in the parameters tab. If you want to mix wither with other items in your gene pool use the shaping tab and you can set the amount of wither included in your new creature.

Edit: Checked both characters and both work okay for me. BTW, I got the mouth that far open using the Cake-One Fang Tastic product. (Could have also clicked on the gear beside open mouth and removed the limits to increase the mouth open morph distance.) Mouth morphs also work but was checking both expression presets and dialed ones. Both okay.

Also to adjust the mouth or change the expression, click on the figure, go to parameters, click on pose controls\head. In there are different pose controls for all parts of the face.

something is definitely wrong, because when i click on either the full figure or the head only, there are no poses available. could it be because i only have the genesis essentials, and not the pro version with all the body morphs? i have no morphs at all for genesis 2 male - it is just a base figure. what do i need to get to make it work?

Could be the problem although I thought the starter came with some basic expressions and a handful of body shapes...the female one at least not sure about the male.

Best deal is the morph bundle but to get just the head you only need the head morphs for facial expressions and head shaping. If you want to adjust the body shape then you need the body morphs. Links to head/body sets are in the what's included & features tab at the bundle link.

Just so you know Gen2Female has her own morphs so these won't work on the female. They're also sold the same way head/body/or bundle.

These morphs head/body/bundle go on sale from time to time...

Which version of DS are you using? HD morphs are a relatively recent addition, if you have skipped several updates you may not have support for them.

Nope...Wither is not "standalone", all it requires is Genesis2 Male.
The variation occur in that you can apply the rotted textures to different separate body parts.
There is no poser option to this set, if there was, it would be listed in the "whats included" section as having poser dson files.

well i have the genesis 2 stater essentials, and it isnt working with that - but maybe Richard has a point. i currently have two instances of DS - one that i installed last May, and the latest version that i installed last week (created 12/02/14)

i think the problem may be with my instalations as i'm also having problems with Freak 5 refusing to take morphs.

what would you suggest? i dont really want to unistall DS 4.6.0.18 and the new one isnt playing game.

which was the last stable version of DS and where can i download it?

4.6.2.118 is the current and only version available for download...

You either don't have the content directories mapped correctly in the current install or you have nested content folders.\

Post a screenshot of the Content Directory Manager (Content Library > drop down menu > Content Directory Manager) and one of your content folders (My Library), expanded to show the subfolders in it.
