Delete Key

I don't know if this is even worth asking about, but for some reason my delete key has stopped working in DAZ Studio. I used to be able to select an item on the DS screen (e.g., Genesis), and press the delete key to remove it, but DAZ Studio doesn't seem to acknowledge my delete key anymore. I have to go up into Edit and click on the delete function. My delete key works in every other program such as Word, Photoshop, Poser, in everything else it works fine, but DAZ Studio won't let me use the delete key anymore. It always used to. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. it's not a major problem, just a little annoying.

    Go to Window>Workspace>Customise, and on the left expand the Edit commands. If the &Delete; Selected Item(s) command doesn't have Del after it right-click on the command and choose Change Keyboard Shortcut, then hit the Delete key.

    When I go to Windows and Workspace, there's no Customize in there. I'm attaching a screen shot. I wonder why my delete key always worked up until a few weeks ago.

    That's because your still running a Basic View layout or Style only one of the two Advanced layouts open all the menus or Menu items.

    I switched it to one of the other layouts and checked the delete command. The Del was already there, but I went ahead and clicked on Accept anyway, and now it works again.

    sounds like the UI just needed resetting.
