Windows 8.1 and DIM

I rebuilt my system the other day and reinstalled Win 7 then the Win 8 upgrade, down loaded all the Win8 updates including the Win 8.1 updates. I have done this a few times before, but this time I can not get DIM to run. It seems to install OK, but just sits there when double clicked of opened from the install window. I have deleted the program at least 4 times, including going into the registry and deleting values that pertain to DIM and the Content Manager. Still not opening, the down load version is 1.0.1.108_Win32.
I am running a home built system with an ASUS Crosshair Z Formula V, 16 gig of ram, with 3ea 1 TB drives and a 500g boot drive.

Just for grins I installed DAZ 4.6, it opened with out any problems. So now I really don't know what to do.

Any ideas??
