dFormer field missing

In one scene I added a dFormer to a figure's hair (Sapphire fox hair on V3). Normally when you expand D-Former_1_Base and click on D-Former_1 (using the default dformer names there) it would display the red-to-yellow colored dots throughout the hair indicating the field strength. However, for this particular scene, it refuses to do that. Before I report it as a bug, I'm wondering if there are conditions under which the dFormer doesn't behave the way I think.

Here are screenshots, top is what I expect to see and what happens if I just try a new dformer with a new scene with nothing but the hair. Bottom is what I actually see when trying to do it in the existing scene. If I delete V3, then I can add the dformer and it works normally.

I'm betting that the character has been posed and moved away from the 0,0,0 position before you applied the Dformer.

My experience with all versions of DS4 is that the field doesn't line up properly if the Dformer is applied to a posed/repositioned character. There are a couple of ways to make it line up, but the least aggravating is to apply the Dformer to an unposed character. Then you can move and pose the character and the Dformer will follow correctly.

This applies to all hair, clothes, and props that are fitted to the character as well. If you know you are going to use a Dformer, save yourself grief and apply it before you move the actor.

Ok, thanks, I will try to remember that. I'm kind of surprised I haven't noticed this a long time ago actually.
