Does this mean what I think it means? At first I thought it was some sort of conflict with Studio and Itunes because of when it happened. But now when I start studio this is first out of the gate as it starts up. Anyone have a clue how to fix it?

You can restart it from Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D on Windows.

If it stops regularly, then there can be a conflict with AV software, but most often, it is caused by a corrupt database. The only solution in the latter case, is to get rid of the DB files, and CMS will create new ones on restarting.

Or very rarely something conflicting with the port it listens on...but something like iTunes could cause that kind of conflict.

If the database is good and your AV is not stopping it, then port conflicts would be the next thing to check.

Deleting the database is the "nuclear" option. Start by deleting the index instead. It won't cost you any custom category work and will only delay the start of DS the first time you run it. If it works and you're successful at that point, I'd strongly encourage exporting your UserData, clearing the database and re-importing metadata as a method of "cleaning out" any remaining inconsistency in the database.

My CMS stops running if I forget to log in to my server where my external DB is installed. Once the server is readable I have to close DS, restart CMS and then reload DS. Sometimes I have to do this several times before CMS starts running properly again. Bit of a pain.
