Stephanie 6 screwing up G2F?

Hi,

I just recently installed Stephanie 6's Pro Bundle. Ever since doing that my Genesis 2 characters are no longer recognized as G2F. In the Smart Content tab when I click on my character all it shows are Animation, Lights, and Utilities options. All poses are gone. I have to select anything BUT my Genesis 2 character to pull up my contents. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You too? I had the same problem. The fix is to re-import the Genesis 2 Female metadata. There now four threads on this same problem, counting yours.

    The others are:

    Maybe they should be combined?

    Sounds like a database problem...

The content is still there...just not being 'flagged' properly...if you were using the Content Library, as opposed to Smart Content you'd see it's all still there.

One of those well versed in CMS problems will probably need to confirm this, but reimporting the G2F metadata should fix it.

I agree, everything is in the Content Library, just not in Smart Content, so something got "unflagged" in the CMS. What did it is a mystery, except that it started after Stephanie 6's release. I first noticed it when loading the G2F Base figure, so I started checking other figures. V6, Olympia and other G2F figures were also missing Smart Content. G2M and Genesis figures were fine. I stopped and re-started the CMS, but no dice. Since it only seemed to affect G2F, I figured re-importing the metadata might fix it and it did. I tried to re-create the problem by removing the Stephanie metadata and re-importing it but that didn't cause the problem. So it may not be Stephanie but something else released at the same time. I bought the Pro Bundle and some other Stephanie things, so it might be one of them, who knows?

I've always thought that database management was a bit of an arcane art....one that should be practiced in the light of the full moon at the stroke of midnight.

And anyone who says differently hasn't dealt with enough databases, yet.

I know what you mean. I'm a retired computer programmer; I spent a lot of time with databases.

You forgot to mention it must be a black rubber chicken you wave while dancing widdershins around the system spec documents.

    Ah...you never got the update?

That's what you had to do for version 0.6a-pre beta.
