can't get program to come up.

When I click the icon on the desktop it doesn't respond. I can get the tutorial to open but not the program? anyone, help for a new user

(if you are talking about DAZ Studio):

I don't know the answer, however there is a slight chance that it is starting, then failing in some way, and possibly logging clues to the failure in the log file if it got that far. See if when you try it it adds anything to the log file, which (at least on my Windows 7 system) is at
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\log.txt
The first thing it puts in that file should be something like the following, which you can use to see which piece of the file to look at. It adds to the end.

It can sometimes also take a very long time to start (unsure, but possibly related to volume of content owned). For example on my older PC I might have to wait a minute or two before I even see the splash screen, plus more time after that. I often think it didn't start and I try again, then end up with two copies running. I also often think I did, and sit there and stare at a blank screen for the longest time before realizing nothing is going to happen because I must have mis-moused my double-click. I'm assuming that's not what you are seeing, but I mention it just in case.

Other things that might help to know: Has it worked before and it recently stopped working, or have you never used it before or just installed it on a new or freshly-wiped system?
