As part of a huge computer upgrade I moved the DAZ contents folders from default c/documents to a second internal
hard drive I will use for data. The content was over 65 gbs,
Iniside the program I changed the MyLibrary links accordingly and all seems to run ok.
I use this program for work and am about to start on an enormous job.
Will my moving the folder create any problems I haven't seen?
I know that this is an unusual question but I have a day or so . would rather
address any problems now rather then later.
Thank you for any advice you may have

Can you open Saved Scenes that were saved when the previous folder was used?

Try creating a new Scene with a few Gen4 and Genesis items in it, save it, exit from DS, and see if you can load it again when you restart DAZ Studio.

You could also check to make sure that you can load content from the Smart Content pane as well as the Content Library.

These are some of the things that I would do.

Apart from glitched database links (this is fixable, apparently: I don't use it so you'd have to wait for someone who does to turn up) one of the more common problems depends on how you've saved your old scenes. Do you save directly into a location in your Content tab, or use the File>Save menu and save into a completely different location?

The critical difference is related to the links in your scene files to the data and texture files making up the objects in your scene. Saving into a content location D|S knows about means these file links are relative — the path starts at the Content location, so as long as you always use a known Content folder, D|S can always find the various bits and pieces of your scene.

The problem comes where you just save to some other location, using File>Save from the menu. In this case, every file link is an absolute path, meaning you can't ever move your data or textures or else you'll get nothing but "can't find file" errors.

Your fine as long as you create a new Database from the new location if you need that function. Remember the CMS and Database does have the Search function built into it. I run my Moved and New content from a Second drive with no issues.
