I have a custom face saved as an obj file that I want to apply to G2F. I've tried Morph Loader Pro with the choose Morph files option, but it tosses the error geometry doesn't match.
Is there tutorial anywhere on making custom morphs for G2F or V6?
I don't know anything about Facegen, but how did you create the morph? You cannot produce a mesh from another program of a face, and then fit it to Genesis. The vertex count and vertex order must match exactly.
I designed the face in facegen and simply exported it. I was given an obj file, a mtl and a fg file. That's all I have. I assumed since Morph Loader Pro let's you import obj files that it was a morph already.
I'm guessing from your reply that's wrong and I need to turn the obj into a morph before applying it with Morph Loader Pro?
The only way that a 'morph' can work, is if DAZ Studio knows what the figure looked like before. It then uses the vertex number to change that vertex to another location which it gets from the OBJ imported file.
You cannot make a morph in Facegen the way you are doing it.
I really don't know anything about Facegen, or how it works, but creating a morph requires exporting the original mesh to a modelling program of some sort, and moving the vertices around to create the new face, and then Morph Loader can do it's work.
I have no idea at all how to create a morph for any figure using Facegen, maybe someone else can help, just hang on a little while?
Is there an easy way to convert Genesis to G2 like GenX was for V4?
Not yet, but there is a new GenX plugin in the works, it is meant to transfer morphs from other figures to Genesis 2. I suppose genesis morphs would be included, but I don't know for sure, nor is there any information on when this will be available.

I don't know of any tuts, but the answer is probably quite simple.
You CANNOT add or remove vertices when creating a morph, it's that simple. The vertex count MUST match exactly, or DS cannot create a morph for you.
How did you create the morph, and in what software?
It was made using facegen. Since I already have the obj file, could I use blender to match up the vertices?

Sounds like my best bet would be to export Genesis 2 to blender and basically try to recreate the face so I can keep the vertices.
FaeGen does apparently have an exporter, but only for the original Genesis. http://www.facegen.com/exporterDG.htm

???
I bet that would make some very happy... :cheese:
There is a manual way of transferring Genesis morphs to G2F/G2M...
Take a look at this thread. It has pretty detailed instructions on how to do it...

I'm so used to my typos it took me a while to spot the problem.
