Can I create a morph for another artists prop and then sell it?

For example:
Say I create a morph for another artists gun pack that gives them longer barrels. I modify them in Hexagon and then send them back to DS and create the morph dial for LongBarrel in the parameters Tab. Can I save that morph in a way that I can distribute just the morph without the gun objs? I've tried saving prop morphs as a prop asset. But when I uninstall the original package from DS. The prop asset will still load the complete prop with morphs. I definitely don't think that would be legal.

My idea is to include some extra utility morphs to some props with a texture and/or pose pack.

thanks in advance for any help.

If the originals are saved as assets (are in .duf format) then you can save and distribute a Morph Asset. However it would certainly be courteous to discuss the situation with the original vendor beforehand, and if you have hopes of selling you'd need something more than a relatively simple morph.
