Merge crash problems. Help!

I can't believe I'm the only one having this issue, but maybe I am. I can't find it anywhere in the threads.

I build a scene with multiple characters, and (almost) every time I try to merge in a new figure, or a pre-posed figure (separate scene) I've set up, DAZ crashes. Olympia and M6 are the most certain to cause the problem.

Sadly, I am on a Mac. OSX 10.6.8. 3.2 GHz i3, 16 GB RAM. I say sadly because I know there are precious few of us, and this may not be a problem.

Does anyone have any answers?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, what version of DS are you running? 32-bit or 64-bit?
And do you use any special stuff, like LAMH hairs on the items you merge.
I build all my scenes that way. One thing I can think of is the Videocard.

Can you please post a crashlog from DS here (you find the in the console.app in /Applications/Utilities.
It may help me determine where you crash, and why.

Thanks so much, Totte! I will when I get home.

I have two machines. This only seems to be a problem on the 32 bit iMac. And I have the latest updates and most recent versions of everything.

I do sometimes use Garibaldi, but it's a problem with or without that in it.

You said it there.32Bit DAZ Studio can manage two, maybe sometime s three figures before running out of the 2GB a 32Bit App can allocate.

Wow. I did not know that. 2GB limit?

Well, thank you very much for the help. Guess it's time to let go of the old machine.

Thank you so much for the answer!
