Getting an extra 10% off

So I was looking at the "hot deals" page or some such, and I saw that DAZ gift cards (aka "Store Credit") is 10% off. This got me curious, so for easy math, I tested it by putting a $500 card in my inbox. Total Due: $450, just as I expected.

Combined with PC monthly coupon and any ongoing sales/promotions, it would further reduce my purchase prices, particularly for days (like today) when I have a bunch of stuff in my inbox, such as Steph 6 Pro Bundle, Aiko 5 bundle, and various other stuff with a total due potentially running upwards of $100 and more.

My only risk is if I have money in "DAZ dollars" and DAZ suddenly disappears one day, then I'm out whatever my credit balance was.

So the question: Other than the risk I've identified above, are there any other drawbacks to buying myself Store Credit in one transaction and then using that to make purchases in one or more subsequent transactions?

    Greetings,
The only real downside is that once you've put that money in, it becomes like 'play money'. You've already accepted the spend, and it's possible to look at items and go, 'Hah! I still have store credit, that's free for me!'

But maybe that's just me, and my complete lack of discipline. :red:

And the biggest up side, if you are a non US customer is that it is usually cheaper to convert larger amounts of money to US currency rather than many smaller amounts.

A lot of forum members, myself included, have long been in the habit of purchasing a GC on payday for the amount we know we can afford to spend here for that month.

Thank you both. I think I'll buy one to at least cover what I'm going to spend on current sales.
