Garibaldi still actively in development and support?

The Garibaldi website has typos and broken links, which may indicate a lack of attention, and there have been no updates or functional advancements. Is the vendor still developing and supporting this? I own it, and it is a great tool, I just want to know if it is still has a future growth track.

Umm... There is a active thread here some place.
A thread for users, yes. My question is about the vendor's plans for the product, which I cannot find information on.
I've had DAZ_Kevin reach out to the PA to see if he would like to respond to this thread. Please keep in mind that PA's are not required to participate in the forums and a lack of response isn't an indication that the PA has stopped developing the plugin.
Bear in mind that the PA works full-time on movie VFX, and my understanding is that those projects can sometimes occupy you 24/7 for months.
And there is development on the forum of Garibaldi - it just didn't reach the Dazstore unto now ...
Firstly I would like to assure you that Garibaldi Express is not an abandoned product. If people have any support issues I can reached directly via:
contact (at) garibaldiexpress.com
Development of Garibaldi Express is currently in hibernation. The reality is that I barely broke even on the time and resources invested in the plugin's creation. I am currently working full time on other projects unrelated to DAZ Studio and have unfortunately have little time to spend actively developing DAZ Studio plugins.
Registered customers can access the Beta version of Garibaldi Express 1.1 from the Garibaldi Express website. I was hoping get this update up on the DAZ store back during the christmas period but I hit some complications and haven't found time to address them.

I don't actively promote Garibaldi Express but it is available for people who seek out powerful content creation software of this nature.
As for the future Garibaldi Express I feel a yearly update cycle is an acceptable target. I have been planning the 1.2 update for quite a while I just need to find time to actually start writing the code.
I would also like to finish Soft-Body dynamics DAZ plugin I spent quite a lot of time developing last year that I unfortunately didn't get finished before moving on to other projects (is about half finished). There is also a simple render engine wrapper DAZ plugin I only finished up to basic functionality I might have another look at too someday.
For my money ... solid and working is more important than fast updates. Thanks for continuing to support DAZ Studio with your efforts!
Definitely nice to see you!
Soft boy dynamics plugin!!!
Are we talking about animating Garibaldi hair or an Optitex alternative?
Render engine wrapper!!!!!
Is this for rendering Garibaldi hair in other render engines or moving entire scenes to a different render engine?
Sorry, I have no idea what a render engine wrapper is but whatever it is - it sounds exciting.
Sure hope you get time to finish developing them for us. :)
I don't get it...
If a piece of software has updates every 6 weeks people complain that it has too many. If it has updates once a year, especially for a relatively bug free, stable piece of software...it's not enough.
If it's stable, no new features added and no major changes to it's dependencies...why does it need an update?
Anyway...enough ranting.
FB...count me interested in the soft body plugin.
Not once have I had trouble with Garibaldi and I have been testing it alot recently.
We can all understand how life can take it's turns. Life is life and therefore all is forgivable. That and I found your online resume. I can only guess who you're working for but can understand why that takes all your time.
Thank you btw for the beta updates. Even without them, the plugin has been very stable for me, even with my old video card, a Radeon x1950 512 Pro, it was stable and not sluggish. The symmetry option for painting so helpful and makes thinkgs simpler.
Soft-Body dynamics - AWSOME! ! !
Render Engine Wrapper??? o.0 - Sounds interesting.
Thank you for the update! The Garibaldi product is EXCELLENT, I own it, and use it extensively. It is easy to use and solidly built.
That you plan to continue developing it, and provide additional products, means that I can start planning the budget to purchase your products.
Good luck to you!
Soft body physics and render engine wrappers? I find your ideas intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter! :-)
