Okay, I'm sure this may have been asked before, but I can't help having to ask it again because I can't find it. HOW do I get my Genesis 2 head morphs to SHOW up? Or... where do I find them? Haven't yet. I've been gone for a while and in my absence things have changed a tad bit.

Any help would be great/. Thanks in advance.

Which ones are you looking for specifically? With M6 selected the majority is under Parameters -> Actor -> Head. Those related to expressions are under Parameters -> Pose Controls -> Head. At least that's where they are for me. I never use the shape tab, so I don't know if or where they are showing up on that.

You should just be able to double click the figure and all morphs should show up in the shaping tab.

To all the above, NOT WORKING... see - let me explain. I have a new harddrive - basically computer, and I backed up from past. So, not only that, I installed the Installer for all my Daz stuff.

I have a feeling, that all my stuff from past and all the stuff from new, has confused things... and now, I can't find what I'm looking for. Things are now installed DIFFERENTLY from the way it used to be installed.

    Example Old way: c:/user/My Documents/Daz 3d/Studio/My Library

Now... it's changed. So DIM installed it the new way, I installed my old stuff the above way, and now... nothing seems to be working right. WHERE should everything be going now please? Because the morphs aren't showing up. And the Smart content stopped working once I brought my old backed up stuff in. I don't care about the Smart content, but I do care about the morphs working.

    Help?

If you have dim installed, everything should be placed wherever dim is installing to, which should be in "My Daz Library" under my documents, at least that is how I understand it to be done.

Thanks... so now the question is... move all content to WHICH folder? I guess I'd better go with the new way. Because I don't know it, I don't like it, LOL - okay... thanks all.

you don't want to manually move any folders to the My DAZ 3D Library. You just have DIM install everything to there.

Hmmm, this could by why Smart Content stopped working. Because I couldn't get anything to work right and I started moving things to this folder and that trying to make sure it was all in the same folder. Soooo - I'm thinking I broke it.

I miss the old fashioned Runtime method, less hassle.

    Genesis 2 - No morphs
    Michael 6 - No morphs

I click on the model and open the shape tab... nothing listed. Have an ugly feeling I'm going to have to start from scratch. Ugggh

How many \data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Male folders do you have? Where are they? Do they have a sub-folder called Morphs?

I'm not sure, but I have a feeling I've duplicated some folders. I'm going to start from scratch. This is such a mess because I've left England, now living in America with a different ISP and slower internet connection. I left 120mb speed - unlimited download under ground cable. And have come to 12mb with limited phone connection -(living with daughter)- she never needed the stronger, faster unlimited. Thus... DIM is killing me. I'm getting loads of fails and simply can't get all of my content installed because of the time it's taking and the fact that there is limited downloads and other issues.

So I tried to load in my backed up files using the old method with the new DIM directory. I think for the moment. I'm going to leave it alone. I've made a mess. We're moving at end of the month, and also I'm paying for FASTER connection with NO limits - Unlimited.

My life is in serious upheaval reason I've been out for so long. Sooo - I need to focus on my writing, getting my severely pass deadline work OUT... and then try and make sense out of all this once we have unlimited and greater internet connections. I so miss that about England, incredible that it has BETTER internet speeds and connections than America... who'dah ever thunk it.

I'm going to have to pay for 55mb speed what I use to pay for 120mb in England. SMH - oh well, life goes on.

Thanks all - carry on - I'll catch up with you all later once I've settled into new home and set myself up properly.

    Cheers!

You need to stop expecting your computer and software to be smart and take control of them yourself. The following bit is just "cut & paste" response I did because this type of question comes up so often. Hopefully it will give a push in the right direction.

In DAZ Studio go to Edit / Preferences / Content Library (tab) / Content Directory Manager (button). Expand DAZ Studio Formats and note the path listed, expand the Poser Formats and make sure the same path is listed there. Open DIM and click on the 'cog' icon, go to the Installation tab, if the path from Studio is not listed click the '+' symbol to add it. Once the path is added click 'Accept' to exit Preferences and go to the Installed tab and uninstall the Starter Essentials. Go to the Ready To Install tab and make sure the 'Show Details' box is checked. Use the Content Path Shortcuts button to set the install location to the path you just added then re-install. Restart Studio (you may need to reboot first) and the Genesises should work now.
