Possibly April or May. This month is Freak 6 by all indications. Then Hiro, Aiko, and David to round out a year's worth of new figures -- which is what DAZ *appears* to be doing.
I may have the order off, but I'm pretty sure that was the order of appearance for versions 5, and they all came out recently enough. for DAZ to want to give them at least a year between versions.
Could you refrain from saying "we" since i have no interest in Aiko 6. hard to believe the Aiko users have had their fun with Aiko 4 and 5 already, LOL. With the new GenX2 I have so many figures to explore now, I am in no hurry for any new ones.
Not me. Hiro 6, David 6, or Freak 6 before another Aiko please!
G2M needs to catch up with G2F...
LOL, I find it funny, with the great amount of morphs for the new genesis line (and GenXv2), why does anyone really need another figure? Do users just not want to spin the dials themselves"?
I hope you get Aiko 6. I don't buy the anime/manga characters, but she does have a following, and I wish you luck getting her as soon as possible. =-)
I am hoping for more adult male characters. With M6 and the problems he has (his chest and face), would be great to get another standard male figure who is easier to customize. While I want freak, he's not going to help me too much, since I only dial a little of his figure into my standard characters. Hoping for something to fix some of the flaws with the basic figure.
I'm with you about not needing a new figure due to the release of GenX2.
If I had a say I'd vote for a dude instead of another female figure at this time.
But I guess if we do get Aiko 6 first then I can save some $$ while distracting myself with GenX2 transfers :)
If it's to end with character like Aiko 5 ... not interested I prefer my GenX2 transfer of Aiko 3 and 4 to G2F ;p
I don't want to see the debacle that was Hitomi, Hiro 5, Aiko 5. If we get an Aiko 6 I want her to be back to her anime-ish origins and I want Hiro's style to match. And is the poor Girl ever getting a 'mate'?

Funnily enough, I was playing around with Stephanie 5 last night, which hadn't really grabbed me before, but with a slight tweak to the base shape, and the right hair, I suddenly had a petite character I really liked. So, a lot of hidden potential in stuff I already have that I haven't really explored. Of course I rarely get a chance to sit down with DS anymore, which is why I haven't bought much this MM.
Agreed. Poor G2M is lagging way behind G2F in iconic figures. Especially since the current generation has added several new iconics to the female side; Gia, Josie, & Olympia. That brings the total to 6 female, 2 male.
I can understand wanting a Gen6 version of one's favorite character, but the ones we already have still work, and with the GenX 2 release yesterday, we can still use them on the Genesis 2 figures. I transferred some Gen4 & Gen5 figures yesterday, and they look fine on G2F and G2M. If we're going to have a new iconic character released this month, I would prefer it was one of the males. I like the female figures, but I have plenty in my runtime to keep me busy. I need more men.

I agree. As Genesis and G2 continue to grow, there can be about 100,000 known or unknown character combos to fit any artist's needs. So the need for originality is there.
But there are people who looking for A6, myself included. I also find it odd that Hitomi, A5 and H5 were debacles if you can see the threads announcing their splashdown on the Store and the reception to all of them is well to say the least.

well, count me in for aiko 6 -- and hiro 6! but not because i need another vaguely stylized shape -- what i'd like to see are some cool outfits... i can transfer a lot of the old stuff i have, aiko 3 even, but some of it isn't the best resolution, or it's lacking in quality textures, and lately, i've been seeing some very nice things come out for gen 2M/F...
yes, i can transfer all my old figures -- it's time consuming, but possible, and yes, what i'd really like is a set of morphs kits, like the ones we got for genesis 1/aiko 5 -- but sometimes, i want to be inspired by new things....
Overall I think Aiko 5 was probably one of the most successful Genesis shapes. At least the pro package had been in the "Top Sellers" until just recently and it was the only Genesis shape bundle having been in the "Top Sellers" lately. My personal dream is a Aiko 6 shape with both more realistic (Aiko 5) and more anime like look (Aiko 3) combined, but I doubt that this will happen. Either way, Aiko 5 is one of my favorite shapes based on Genesis. She doesn't resemble Aiko 3 in any form, but I love the style of Aiko 5 and also the versatility when mixing shapes.
Aside from that ... male shapes - yes, please. I am not too fond of the "Freak" line (always thought it to be a bit too much for my taste), but I could go with a little "David" and a male victim for the "Fiends" :)
Hey SereneNight Thanks!! I too am hoping for more guy characters too but I will pass on Freak, it just not kind of character rendering I want to do. With Aiko 6 I have animation ideas I want put to use and I am hoping that Thorne comes out with a new product line of elves like she did with Aiko 4 Base. That's why I am eager for Aiko 6 and I realize that there is Aiko 5 but I have not bought into her because I knew eventually version 6 would be out and its going to be better. I will have to be a little more patient and I hope it comes out by May.
Agreed! Where's Hiro 6? This is impeding a big project! Poser is flaking on their figures and I need Hiro 6 and Aiko 6.

Definitely, SIOC! I just have a scene that I wrote years ago that require both of them and I'd buy Aiko 6 now if it meant that I could get Hiro 6 free. I don't want to waste the money on Hiro 5 when we are so close (?????) to Hiro 6 coming out. I finished making one villian in the first scene. He is hunting one of my characters when he stumbles upon the Hiro and Aiko character.
If Sockratease was still posting, he'd be complaining about the lack of a Millennium Cow - or, possibly, the lack of a Genesis Cow.
Me, I'm waiting for a decent-looking catgirl or wolfgirl. Proper animal ears, claws, and tail; no human ears; a LAMH preset for the entire body; digitigrade posture and matching legs (for the wolf-person) - this won't be a quick release, even if somebody is already working on it.

Well, for me, it's not so much I hate spinning dials so much as it's I eventually get bored with looking at my characters after a while and want something different. You know, one of the big criticisms that the DAZ/Poser side of the 3D world gets is that, even in highly professional-quality renders, characters look too similar to one another, especially with stylized figures like Aiko & Hiro.
I admittedly agree to this to an extent. I have a whole roster of character portraits that I slapped together for a story I'm working on and everyone who I show them to says "Are they all supposed to look alike/generic?"
Definitely understand! The two people I need Hiro and Aiko for are brother and sister. So, the similarities in a way are needed. Granted, I will make minor tweaks to make certain they are not identical because they are separated by a few years.
I think I'm just going to use the Teen 6 models and use growing up.
