High-heeled shoes and boots for Genesis
I've kinda given up on trying to get V4 high-heeled footwear working with Genesis. I figure most else I've tried works really well, so I'm not complaining. So, I'm looking for suggestions for good high-heel products for Genesis. Specific products I like include high-heeled boots like Chic Knee Boots, Chic Thigh Boots, Chic Western Boots, Idler's KneeBoots and WarmerBoots, and your typical sandals and strappy type shoes. I don't need pumps unless they're open-toe (don't like 'em), and I'm more for the less-out-there type stuff, though platforms and crazy designs are sometimes fun.
The reason I'm asking here instead of browsing myself is that I'm on the world's slowest dialup connection so it takes me forever to load graphics-heavy pages, which really becomes frustrating when browsing product pages because the majority turn out to not even be what I wanted. I'm off to browse the thumbnail pages now anyway, but targeted suggestions would be very helpful.
Actually, on second thought, a general footwear for genesis thread would really be handy to have, so go ahead and post anything with shoes you like if you want, but maybe include a note as to what type of footwear it is.
Or if you just want to link to the magical tutorial on getting heeled v4 footwear working properly with Genesis, that'd be great too. ;)

I assume you are referring to genesis 1, so here is a direct link to all the genesis 1 footwear in the store

Really isn't that much unfortunately and getting V4 heels to fit is a nightmare. I do have a couple of V4 heels that have no straps lined up and fitted to my genesis models and saved so I can use them again and again. I tend to stick with DX30 products since no one else is r5eally doing any quality heels in the styles i want.
This is a nice set with some decent heels in it

i had asked idler168 about making some of his popular styles for genesis when it first came out and was told that would happen, but haven't seen any progress in this area, so I guess not.
Now that genXv2 is released, I am starting to do more with GF2, but it looks like heels (lack of) will be just as much of a problem also..
Especially if it is for Genesis 1, then you can try Wilmap’s gallery on sharecg. For Genesis 2 there are two shoes in her gallery so far I think.
Greetings,
Magical Tutorial on Getting Heeled V4 Footwear Working Properly With Genesis 2.I used it to convert these ankle boots (also by idler) to G2F.
I've also converted the Chic Western Boots, although you can't see them as well in this picture; they're on the woman in the center of the screen.
Don't give up hope; it does work. If you look at this tech test and this scene you can see some wavering in the thin edge of the heels, but it's really not noticeable unless (1) you're looking for it, and (2) it's close up enough.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. But I spoke too soon. I gave this a try:
http://www.sharecg.com/v/61954/view/3/PDF-Tutorial/DS4-TutorialRigging-High-Heels-for-Genesis-rev1#
And it really worked wonders for the first pair of boots I tried. FSMC, if you haven't yet, you should really give that one a try. It's not exactly quick, but it was very straightforward for me and it definitely worked wonders compared to auto-fit. I'm looking forward to trying it out on all my V4 footwear and seeing if it works as well as it did the first time.
Cypher: haha, I reload the page and someone's beat me to the magic punch. :) I'll have to try that one out too, if it's not the same method.
I use mainly the dx30 stuff. Xena has some Genesis/G2F footwear in a similar vein, too. Hot Assassina Boots by Ishbo over at Rendo have a bunch of morphs in them to adjust platform height, the various spikes, etc.
I wish lilflame would start converting some of her footwear to G2F. She has quite a few that I really like on V4, but are hopeless to convert to TriAx since they also depend on a custom morph that gets injected into V4.
I've run into a little snag on the road to footwear conversion Heaven. I fired up DS today to find that the "content type" drop-down doesn't work any more in the Figure Setup tab or in the Transfer Utility. It was working fine last time I did a conversion, so I can only guess that I did something then or since then to mess up Genesis. Maybe I deleted something I shouldn't have? It doesn't seem to be a dealbreaker since I was able to convert a pair of shoes just now and they seem to be working fine, but I don't like the feeling that I've just thrown a wrench into the gears. Anyone have any idea what I did, or how to fix it?
Check to see if the ContentManagementService is running...
Yep, that did the trick MJ, thanks.
