A little something I'm working on. Thought I'd share some of the test images. Took a different approach to the uvmapping [in Hexagon] and it has some possibilities.

A few more.
Looks great. :-)
Hi Patience55 :)
Very nice dress, I like what you've created! Did you model it in hexagon as well as doing the uv mapping there? In what way did you change the way to do uv mapping? Is it a secret or can you share? :) Do you add movement handles or do you morph to get the appearance of movement at the bottom of the dress? -Cathy
This one was started via a quality starter mesh and yes I model in Hexagon. I paid money for Hexagon years ago and while it was on sale, still I figured, it's supposed to do uvmapping so I was stubborn to learn how to use that feature. Wasn't much documentation on it and the scatterings that were around were either in out dated programs and/or their buttons may have worked on their computer, but they sure weren't on my computer. Eventually I figured out 'the workflow' on my computer to get Hexagon to uvmap. Keeping in mind that it is an older program, it doesn't automatically make uvmaps "perfectly" ... many people prefer to use uvmapper or some other program.
Normally I try to get the uvmaps to give equal spacing be the area on the sleeve or the skirt or the top. This time I switched some of the x,y,z options and let Hexagon have some fun. Got huge sleeves and smaller dress area ratio wise. Then I was playing around with my textures to see what would happen if ...
All the above images are of the 'as is' initial dress that was created via the TU. I did not use the dress template. Today in trying to get rid of a minor annoyance over the breast area, discovered that yes one sometimes has to use the dress templates ... so it's nice they are there :-) As is, such a clothing piece can be used for stills but without some assistance is going to be problematic for animations.
Today I did start making a few morphs for some of the extreme poses ... and one assistance pose for Exo morphs.
I'm more experienced at making morphs for movement rather than handles. For this task Hexagon is excellent.
Thank you :-)
If all goes well it might get released next week.
It's loosely based on a Viking tunic design hence the "working dress" name.
Have created a 2nd uvmap for this dress and some shaping assistant morphs. The template for making the dress apparently adds in a few basic posing assistants too. ;-)
Depending upon whether or not I can find the information or figure it out, for how to have 2 shading domain sets for one item, the release will either be 2 dresses or 1 ... 'weather permitting' of course.
Okay, so no can mesh 2 Shading Domain sets to one file so ...
We have 2 dresses with the very same mesh, one with 2 uvmap sets, one with just its own, some morphs, some mats ....
