Blender OBJ to Daz Studio. No Textures on it?

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hi, we are trying to model and texture an object in Blender, then bring that object with the textures on it into Daz Studio 4.6.
It doesn't seem to matter whether we use blenders texturing/mapping methods, or a third party software that does mapping. It looks great in Blender and the third party mapping software, but when it's brought into Daz, it's blank!
Why is this happening? We are saving an .mtl file that Daz is supposedly able to recognize, but does nothing. All help is much appreciated.

I don't think DAZ Studio really reads the mtl files. When your textures are finished you need to save them out from Blender in .jpg format to Runtime/textures/yourname/yourproductname. Then when you load the obj file in DAZ Studio, you have to set them up in the Surfaces tab. Here's my own tutorial for that (it's for clothes originally but the mat setup section absolutely will work with anything):
