Hi. I been using Daz3 for awhile and now looking at updating to Daz 4.6. Do I need to have the Gen 1 Figure or can I go to Gen 2. I still like using the V4, M4 and S4, so do what add on's I need to bring them to Gen 2 or to I have to put Gen 1 add on's in first then upgrade to Gen 2. I would like to know how to keep both programs separate. I don't want a very large content libraries. Keep Daz3 as is and Daz 4.6 as is and nether shall meet. Thanks.

The BASE Genesis 1 and Both the Base G2F and G2M come free with DS4.6.2 at this time. DS4.6 will install side by side with DS3A so you can still use BOTH. I have both installed and Use Both. I suggest you USE DIM to install the DS4.6 content files and then point the DS4.6 to the DIM content folder. You can then deside if you wish to install all your other content into DS4 or just point it to the DS3A Contet folder, both of which will work.

I agree. I never unintalled my DS 3A when I installed my DS 4P. I still use DS 3A often because of some plugins that haven't been upgraded for use in DS 4, so I have the 2 separate Content folders, and have no problem accessing them both from DS 4. I just can't access any of my Genesis 1 items (DS 4 Content) from DS 3A, but I can access all my generation 4 characters and content from DS 4P.

I only have 4.6 on my machine. Once I got a new computer I only loaded the current version but do know they can be ran side by side
