Daz 4.5.1.6 if anyone needs to know
How do I fix this? I reverted my Appdata>>roaming and programfilesx86 to a week ago and the problem persists.
Edit: it's not just Genesis. Anything with bones turns into blocks.
I know many here have had the Genesis blocks problem. So please, what files do I revert to last week in order to fix this? I'm certain the problem can't be fixed with a simple uninstall and reinstall, it's surely in my program files/etc. somewhere...

Crap, I forgot to view my log file before reverting the files to last week...
How/when did this start?
Most of the time it is NOT a file problem and messing with them will make things worse. The vast majority of the time it is simply the fact that the content directories are not properly mapped in DS...either the DIM installed directory is not added to BOTH the Studio format and Poser format sections in the Content Directory Manager. OR...nesting has occurred...and now what appears to DS to be the content folder is just a part of it. Nesting is any time that the My Library/My DAZ3D Library/Content contains a folder by one of those names...or more than one.
Post a screenshot of the Content Directory Manager...
Solved. I found this topic:
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/28771/
Went to the "settings" tab on the right and the draw style was inexplicably changed to smooth-shaded box.
It happened when I followed Sickleyield's heels tutorial here:

On a related note, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the search. I only found that thread when I typed "blocky" alone into the search. When I typed "Genesis" and "blocky" into the search, I got zero results. Had this search (and other keywords such as "blocks") yielded results, I would not have made this topic.
Thank you for your prompt reply, though, even though it would have sent me in the wrong direction >_<</p>
It's the setting for manipulation draw style -- let me track down where that is.
Tool Settings pane with a tool that can be used for posing active.
