Angel for V4 - Issues

Is it just me, or is this a glitchy product?

Adding the morphs seems to be hit or miss.

The hair will not fit to the character, I keep getting the error show below, in my attachment.

I tried loading other hair, to this character, witch has a V4 base, so any hair that fits a V4 should conform, and they do not conform to it.

I'm baffled, and agitated that such a pricey product is this problematic.

How are you trying to fit it? HR2 is prop hair that is parented to the figure rather than autofit.

It isn't parenting for some reason.

If I change the character pose the hair is getting left behind.

I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling.

    OK,

I loaded a standard V4.2 character with only the M++ morphs, and I was able to get the face to load finally with out the lower jaw sticking out.

Then I was able to get the angel hair to conform, but it took three attempts to fit it.

Something about this set is a bit off, but I guess I can work around it.

Not the best quality kit I have purchased. A shame really...

Did you use the V4 fit morph? There should be some additional fit morphs included

Go to Pose > Angel V4 > Angel Hair Fits to find the hair fitting files. There's also a set of fit magnets available here in the store. As to your problems loading the morph, it may be a conflict with the Beautiful Bends product. This set has been out almost as long as V4, and it may not be compatible with some of the bend fix products out there.

If you are running into morph problems with Gen4 figures, it is sometimes a good idea to rerun the ExP bat (windows) or cmd (mac) files found in the !DAZ folder. Just doing this can often fix any number of issues. Be sure Poser or DS (whichever app you are using) is closed before you do this. It will not fix anything if you have V4 loaded and the app running at the time you do it.

this is only for manual installing as Frank said in another thread DIM takes care of that now.

Well, if this is a maintenance task rather than an installing new content task then DIM's running the command after installing won't help.

It shouldn't be, but it can be useful if something has ganged agley.

Needed regularly? No. But V4 morphs failing to inject or function is a known issue with Poser that is often fixed by running the ExP. I never had issues witih DS3A but have run into the same problems once or twice with DS4.x. This issue has nothing to do with new installs.
