how long does it take for you to morph your characters?

Just curious to see how long it takes others to morph their own people (with the daz morphs, not tkaing it into Zbrush and making them)
I feel like I take so long making my people, and most the work is already done for me (base model & morphs)

You mean just trying to get a particular character "look" by spinning controls on the Evolution, Ethnicity, Growing Up, Shape Shift, etc. morph sets? Not normally more than 15-30 minutes.
Now, doing something complex, like the rotating gears under the skin morphs I did recently, that was a Carrara job that easily went 20 hours, spread over about 10 days as "real work" interrupted my play time.
That 15-30 minutes straight?
Yes.
How long are you taking, with that "I feel like I take so long making my people" comment? We all have a different concept of "too long". Someone may get fed up in 10 minutes, someone else may tweak for 2 hours.
It depends, if the character is the main focus and i (or a client) have a specific look in mind, I can spend a few days on making sure it's right.. When I was working with V4 I was tired of using premade character bodies because they were never as attractive as i wanted and having worked in the adult entertainment industry for awhile, had some pretty specific looks/details i wanted in my characters. I then set out to sculpt what i wanted and have used those FBMs as the base for most of my genesis and now GF2 characters. I then save and use when needed. I have played with the various morphs enough to know what they do and what works when doing background characters on the fly.
While I never use any premade body morphs from any character packages, But I am always in the lookout for good custom face morphs. When i started working with GF2 and before GenXv2, i found I really like the face morph (and skin) from FWarts Danika
My stuff spreads out in like...several days to dial my people
I've been trying to re-create things that got deleted
If I had a rough guess, 20 hours
I look for pre-made because they work best for like random back ground people. No reason to spend time dialing when they're just NCP or something
But there aren't that many. Well, there are plenty of V4 shapes, but the guy shapes lack
Well, to me the time is not really noticed, it depends on the character. Some take much longer to dial in than others. To get a fully custom character I can spend hours in one sitting and then still go back and add more to the figure on another day. To me it depends on just how much the figure will be used and how picky I am about the final look.
For Lead characters of mine, I assign them version numbers as I will continue to flesh out over months/years as new better suited morphs become available or change of figure. But I'll comfortably spend a day or two making and test rendering each version of the character. And thats not including the time spent on their custom textures, which likewise constantly get improved.
Extras or "NPC" - I will spend several hours on (depending on how in-depth I want to go) and also work on their textures too, the later is more time consuming. But I also regularly break up the development time bouncing between projects.
I'm not one to use over 50% of any Character FBM, and work primarily with PBM sets like head/body/muscularity morphs, and various PBM morph sets alike released by PAs.
