Sub dragon

I just bought the sub dragon and used the installer to install it. I get the following prompt The Sub dragon support folder could not be found followed by another dialog box followed by another dialog box. Anybody got an idea.

How did you install this, using DIM, or by yourself?
Where did you install it to, and where are you trying to load it from?
It is always best to give as much information as possible when seeking help.
I just used the daz installer which I guess is the DIM and I just installed it to the defaults. The installer installed it - I just selected all three items in the sub dragon download and selected them together.
Oh - and here is the secondary prompt.
Note to Users: If using DIM to install content.
If you install content with DIM and the content does not load in DAZ Studio it is often because the Content was not installed to the content folder your DAZ Studio paths are pointing to.
When you use DIM it automatically adds the MetaData to your CMS Database, The Database is opened when you run DAZ Studio so it see's
the Metadata and shows the files where they would be IF the content folder was mapped, but the Files are NOT in DS yet.
The Default Content Folder for DAZ Studio that is made at install of DAZ Studio is NOT the same Content Folder the DIM uses.
The Default Content folder is C:/Users/USER NAME/Documents/Daz 3D/My Library
The DIM Content Folder is C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library
Both can be mapped as Paths in DAZ Studio and will correct the Files not found error.
Millennium SubDragon 66.78 MB download download & install }
Millennium SubDragon StudioCF 261.44 KB download download & install }
Millennium SubDragon PowerLoader
These are the three download files.
Do I use the power loader to map ! It's addressing the path - I'm not familiar with the utility/ Should I just accept -
Was I not suppose to download the power loader. ??????????
The Powerloader has nothing to do with DAZ Studio seeing the content folder paths... the paths are in Prefs in Content Directory Manager. For a DIM only installed folder it would look like this...
I think I'm already showing both files - Sorry - I don't mean to create a job out of it -
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Animals
LE is here not the purchased.
So would I add this path.
Make sure you have both paths under Poser Formats also.
I just checked and they were already checked also. They were both under Poser.
I did check in the download manager and under the download tab in settings - I have both poser check areas' un-ticked. Poser 9 and Poser 9 + - Would that block the downloaded path -
C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library
Is the recommended path set in settings also -
No, what you have selected for downloads in DIM won't affect paths in DS. Do you have either of the following folders:
C:\Users\Richard\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\SubDragon
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\SubDragon
Check the paths carefully to make sure they match exactly.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\SubDragon
Yes - I have the second path -
Should I add this path - ? If so - to both daz and poser ?
No, you already have the path up to "My DAZ 3D Library", which is what it should be.
Can you post a screenshot of the exact error message?
I get this prompt and then it goes to the dialog box I've been posting all along.
Do you have the file DzCreateExPFiles-SDrgn.bat? If so, what's the full path to it?
DzCreateExPFiles-SDrgn.bat
I search this file and I come up
This is from properties.
DzCreateExPFiles-SDrgn
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ
DzCreateExPFiles-SDrgn
Windows Batch File (.bat)
With DS closed double-click that .bat file. A black DOS Window will open up, run through all the morphs and then close by itself. Then restart DS and see if you get the same error.
Yeah - It ran and I rebooted and restarted daz with the same result So I ran it again and restarted daz and it still gets the prompt about the file not being found -
Are you clicking an icon in Smart Content, or in Content Library > Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Figures > DAZ Dragons?
I can't open it from either side.
From animals on the left and from dragons on the right - As looking at computer. Theirs only LE Dragon in the figures. In Poser he's in figures but won't open.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the dragon with out their included installer and it's working fine - I wonder If I should go ahead and install their installer. I've textured it and used a bunch of their poses. Pretty cool -
There is a problem with the Powerloader - don't install it. I've reported it twice and I was told not to install the powerloader that last time. Works fine after that.
Great - Now I can go burn down some villages - lol
That really is a cool dragon -
Thanks for all the help and comments - Have a great weekend
This is the response from technical support that resolves this issue. You simply uninstall the dsb file they have indicated. If you remove the dsb and re install the software - your have to remove the dsb file again - All I had on my machine was the sub dragon dsb.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for sharing. We appreciate it. The last couple of comments in the thread are correct. There is an issue with one files in the PowerLoader. This is true with the dragon, M4 and V4. This has been reported to the bug tracker.
You can fix the issue by doing the following:
Uninstall the PowerLoader and run a search for SubDragon.dsb, Victoria 4.2.dsb or
Michael 4.dsb and delete it. If there is more than one, delete them all. This is the file causing the error.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks,
Daz Tech Support
