Newrava Outfit; there, I said it.

I searched the forums for this new, multiply-authored product and failed. So, First!

My main question is - what is a Saboton? It's in the What's Included and Features section of the product page. It could be a typo, an untranslated bit from another language, or something I can't find with Google. Or a combination.

 1) Boots. Simple enough in concept, I wonder if they're really as bada** under the trouser leg.
 2) Drape. I assume this is a single piece of clothing, covering the rear and the side of the thighs below the waist. A sort of armor(?) for those below-the-waist blows from behind. Apparently the only part of the outfit with dForce.
 3) Pants. Here I'm on safer ground, and they look rather nice in a biker-dude, casually threatening sort of way. (No offense to any biker-dudes.)
 4) Saboton. The mystery item, which may be the hood.
 5) Vest. Obvious enough, with the metallic-looking riveted leather patches serving as actual armor. Other textures show the patches in the geometry. [Edit] Nope, the bottom 'patches' are pockets, and the upper ones (in the raw view) look like chest pocket flaps; small ones.
 6) Shirt. Thumb-hole sleeves, and the undershirt with a 'quilted' texture (for some textures) evoking the knight's under-armor protection.

So is the 'saboton' a hood? Perhaps connected to the vest in some way? The pants apparently might work alone, but I can't tell if any of the other items can be worn separately. (I'm a kitbasher at heart.)

I don't think I've ever seen anything like the 'drape', at least in mens' clothing. No, those sweaters tied around the waist are different - this is made that way.

Fast and accurate, thank you. I waded through lots of Google search returns, and checked Wiktionary. But I forgot the Primary Source of all Knowledge! <blush>

Still don't know how that hood is connected. I try to imagine uses for any outfit. There have been quite a few hooded urban-garb things lately, I suppose to look dangerous. The word hoodlum and all that.

The vest can be worn open, and supposedly could be omitted. The pants certainly can, though the upturns in the cuff part look a bit weird without the boots there. I usually look for purchases that give some variety, so that two characters in the scene can wear 'the same thing' to show a group solidarity, without me looking too lazy. I don't mind being lazy, but don't want to be looking that way.

Thanks for the video, I had never seen it before. My Father served in the 187th ARCT with the 82nd in the Korean War and volunteered at the York V.A. for 13 years. Go Airborne!

To the OP Sabot is French for shoe. It can also be used for a casing i.e. saboted slug (projectile).

I actually purchased the outfit as I like how it looked.

For me it looked like an Assasin's Creed type outfit and that is how I see it's use.

I bought it. It looks a bit like a repurposed female article of clothing. The hood is a problem for me, as out of the box it's not really fitting well for me. I will try a few more times, but  so far I don't love the outfit.
