Blondie's Rigging Orig Figures in DS4Pro Tut - help
Hi,
I just bought Blondie's rigging basic figures tutorial & I'm having a few problems with this tutorial:
Point 1: On page 1:
right at the beginning, I found this:
The reason for doing this is that if the CMS is not running, or not running properly, certain “save” functions that you will be using later on will not work the way they should. For instance, in saving a .dsf file, you will not get the option
The option for what? To do what?
What option?
There seems to be some of the text missing.
What should it be?
Point 2: Tut says I need to open the 'Tools' but I can't see the text at the top of the screen, so I can't find that menu.
How can I make the text in that top menu bigger so I can see it?
(I'd also like it a different colour to the background of that menu - it's an eye straining nightmare tyring to fine anything in here. (I just installed DS4.6)

It probably should be 'That option' instead of 'the option'
I'm not sure what you mean here? If you mean that you cannot see the menu at the top of DAZ Studio, then have you tried another layout?
Go to Window > Workspace > Select Layout, and try one of the other ones.
Yes, tried other layouts - all are dark in a similar way.
BUT, this lead me to look at Layouts - and that lead me to the colours - which was exactly what I needed.
I've now got the background behind the black text to be much lighter - and bingo! I can see the words at the top menu now.
WoooHeee! Brilliant!
However, I now have another problem with the tutorial.
On page (either 26 or 30 depending on if it's a number actually printed on the page (26) or the page number that's in the thumbnails list on the left - then it's 30)
The instructions say to:
"Now, on the shin bone, move the end point so that it is centered at the bottom of the shin, and align that bone as well."
Well I selected the shin bone, but when I tried to move the end point at the bottom of the shin, (where the foot would be if the figure had a foot) a red axis thingie moved but the bone did not.
See Pics 1 & 2.
I tried moving the top of the shin bone, it did move but that's clearly not the bottom - I'm so confused...
How can I move the bottom of the shin bone? Help?
