I don't seem to understand what it is

Are the details procedural generated?

Can the textures be exported out if this is used on another skin?

It's a set of maps that can be added as overlays to the basic textures on a figure, allowing customisation. Some are diffuse, but most are bump/displacement. Yes, you could use them as overlay in an image editor (for your own use, they aren't licensed for game use).

You need to be a bit more specific as to what your asking if you want a detailed explanation of your question.

    No, it wasn't answered

He was talking about the Photoshop layers (well no duh those can be saved)

What about the version that's done directly inside Daz?

Yeah, my questions were not answered

And are they procedural generated? that wasn't answered

Inside DS it would be done with LIE layers I would imagine. It does say that the product contains PSD files.

A layer that you use with the http://www.daz3d.com/multi-layered-image-editor (which is built into DS 4.6 I believe)

Both versions use the same overlay images, the difference is that the MR version includes a layered Photoshop file while the base version has separate PNG files. The overlays are applied by a script included with the set, but if you want direct access to the Layered Image editor it is available through the texture picker menu - click the preview box next to any colour property.

Click on a map in the Surfaces tab -- LIE is one of the options

Either way i doubt you will be able to export anything using LIE since it is a DS feature which is why I never use it since i don't render in DS.

Actually you can. If you look in AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp, you will find temp flattened tif files of the LIE combo, you can copy and paste that somewhere and use that file. So you will have a baked version of one file per material group. Think it gets deleted in temp if you change LIE preset, so once you are happy, copy those files out and use them. It's a bit messy in there, but you will find them among all the other files.
