Thank you for the boot option for the females!!!!!
Hi Sigurd, I realised after a few comments on the forum, that some of you guys would prefer a more "practical" option. Imagine snapping a heel while in the middle of a gun fight!
Thank you! Great job on the female suit. Glad to get a male as well.
Pointy pauldrons and gauntlets will get in the way.
Thank you xyre0, I'm really glad you enjoyed the female version!
Hi fastbike1, That's a fair point, though there is the option to remove gauntlets and pauldrons for full mobility. There is some flexible armor beneath.
I purchased this. Any plans for add-ons like weapon systems? A back-pack with over-shoulder guns/launchers would be great. This suit reminds me of the Combat Battle Spacesuits of the Lensmen, which were probably the first fictional powered armor.
Thank you, @dajenksta, for making the bracers and pauldrons separate items.
Could someone who owns this already perhaps do a quick sample render without bracers and pauldrons so that we can see what it looks like? Thank you.
UPDATE: Scratch that last request. I just saw that one of the promo images has the guy 'bare-armed'. And the female version also has one without the add-ons, and between the two it gives a pretty good idea of how it looks.
And it looks good. Into the cart with that one!
Hi Connatic, thank you so much for your purchase, I'm working on a weaponisation pack and a flight pack. Stay tuned! I'd never heard of the Lensman until now, I've just had a quick look. Very interesting,( requires a deeper dive on my part.) I've had many influences on this one. Years of reading 80's and 90's comics and graphic novels, even more years of gaming (Metal gear Solid / Splinter cell / Deadspace / Fallout ) Hundreds of Sci-fi action films, a touch Manga and a large helping of StarWars. Mix in a large pot and this is what popped out. I really tried to produce something a bit different. I had great fun making it.
Hi bytescapes, I really appreciate your purchase and hope you enjoy! Just as a heads up my next Sci-fi set is a bit more practical. I'll put up some 'work in progress' shots in the near future.
Armor by John Steakley is a good book about sci-fi armor.
My favorite of the 'powered armor' subgenre of the 'military sci-fi' subgenre of sci-fi is probably Joe Haldeman's "The Forever War", which is both similar to and very different from Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers". My first thought when I saw this suit was that I should use it to make some "Forever War" fan-art.
I just had a quick look, I might have to get hold of this one! Thanks bytescapes.
Hi Sigurd, I'll check this out and maybe add it to my arsenal.
Thanks! I agree with bytescapes that Forever War is also a very good book.
I recommend reading "Galactic Patrol" and "Gray LensMan" as they are actually the first stories that E.E. "doc" Smith published.
Thanks Connatic, I'll and check them out.
I finally made my image inspired by "The Forever War", using the A.N.T.S. suit.
Wow! That's an awesome image. Really atmospheric.
