I had a computer crash and lost all of my browser content. I've been using my own models in Carrara and not using Poser or DAZ Studio at all recently, so I hardly noticed that my content browser contained no content at all after I reinstalled the Carrara application. Due to a new project, I now need to be able to use all three with purchased content. The new installer took me by surprise. I believe I have it set up properly now but had attempted to download quite a bit of stuff before I had it configured properly. Everything I've tried to correct the situation just makes it worse. Uninstalling and re-installing doesn't seem to help. I used to know where to put the different file types but the file structure I'm seeing doesn't make any sense anymore. Is there a way for me simply move the files on my computer into the correct locations? Or any solution short of uninstalling everything and attempting to install all three applications and all the purchased content from scratch?

It is frustrating to me that when I tried installing a newly purchased bit of old content into a previous version of Poser it installed perfectly, but the same content installed erratically with no thumbnails when I used the new installer with Poser 10. My most urgent need right now is to install Michael 3 and hoplite costumes and associated poses, etc., into Poser 10. It would be nice to get all the other stuff working too.

Hoping for a way out of the mess I've gotten into,

Sue

If you are using the DAZ Install Manager then it defaults to the My DAZ 3D Library folder in your Public Documents folder - you need to add that to Poser, Carrara and DAZ Studio as an external library/content directory.
