I've been looking for a plain, long, single braid for a 10-year-old girl character. The one a the link below is perfect. Does anyone know which hair this is, please?

Thanks!
[EDIT - I found out what the hair is, but it turns out it's *double* braids. See below.]

A quick look through OOT's store

Oh. In the examples in the ad for the cloaks it looked like a single braid, but it's actually two braids. Drat!
If I only had one image I needed to make where I could throw the second braid back where it can't be seen, this hair would work fine. But I'm illustrating a story, so I need tthe freedom to show the hair from different angles.
I wonder if I could persuade OOT to make me what I need? Hmm...
Thanks for the help, Scorpio!
Hi there, maybe you can use this one by Goldtassel: https://www.daz3d.com/careless-braid-for-genesis-3-female-s.
I've been looking for this for a long time. A simple long braid suitable for a 10-year-old girl. Nothing fancy or sexy.
Today I found something that would be perfect in a DAZ ad for cloaks - this:
https://www.daz3d.com/texture-expansion-for-dforce-high-fantasy-cloaks--volume-2
Even the color is perfect.
But I couldn't find the hair, and then someone else told me they think it's this, by Outoftouch:

Which I think is probably right.
I want to create a new cover and some illustrations for a novel whose rights have just been returned to me by the publisher. The hair is for the main character, so I'll need to show the hair from a variety of angles, and don't want to have to try to hugely postwork the hair in every image.
I wonder if one of the DAZ artists would be interested in creating a long, single braid that looks like the one in the cloak promo? Maybe even Outoftouch?
With lots of braid poses! Including one that looks like it's being pulled hard by someone from the back. :D
I'd be truly grateful.
Merged threads - if you wish to change the title and move to Product Suggestions you can do both by editing the first post (the button with the forum name above the title box lets you move the thread).
Maybe this:

I've been looking for a good, practical braid for an adult character for some time. The Aion Braid by Goldtassel is gorgeous, but it doesn't contain enough rigging to get over the shoulder. The Careless Braid by the same maker is also nice, but it doesn't have a tie...it just kind of fizzles into some end scraggles. My absolute wish...well-rigged thick single braid that can be worn over the shoulder or behind the shoulder with a leather cord tie at the bottom.
If you really need a braid like that why not just rig the Arion one? It would probably take you one day or so but you have it for life afterwards.
That's easy to say if you know how to rig. I'm just an end-user who makes art. I can customize somewhat, but am limited to kit-bashing and texture work. I'm not really into content creation.
I didn't see anyone mention this hair, it might work for you:

Ali of Mankahoo [dot] com has several rigged braid styles of hair. S/he's a Poser developer, but most of them are old enough to be legacy rigged, so not a problem in Studio. You'd probably want to use hair shaders.
One of the older styles is shown here: http://www.redhen-publications.com/temple.html
I think I did it back in about 2010.
The problem with older hair, at least for me, is that it usually doesn't have enough geometry to capture a level of realism to go with my work. It ends up looking like a plastic cap. Even going back to G2 hair I've had this issue.
Ali has some on his shop (vor V4)

I also thought so at first but then I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfcRvcNobX8&t=386s and it didn't seem that hard to me.
I haven't tried with hair yet, but I can't imagine it being much different. If you want I can give it a try with a long ponytail, just to let you know how hard it is. Unfortunately I don't have any braided hair.
I watched the video and whilst I could obviously repeat it with properly segmented tail or braid, it is not so easy to see how to make the individual bones in the middle of the chain bend realistically.
If you do get a chance to try it on a braided hair, I would be interested to see what and how you do it.
There's "Summer Sleek Hair and Accessories for G8F" at Renderosity. You don't need the accessories, but the braid appears to be OK.
Or this old product: https://www.daz3d.com/sporty-braid , which could be OK if you apply some new hair shaders.
I've found the stuff at mankahoo dot com to be pretty good, again, with the application of new hair shaders. Outoftouch has a really nice set called "Iray Pair" at Rendo.
