LF a business suit for V4

I'm looking for a no-nonsense business suit for V4: black skirt and jacket, white blouse, black (flat) shoes, and the attitude "I dress just like a man in the same kind of job because I'm just as good as a man in the same kind of job" shows through.

This photo is pretty close - the pleats in the skirt don't need to be in the model: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00zKMTeabhbUcw/Women-s-Business-Suit-OEM.jpg

It doesn't need to be free, but the budget for this particular image is limited. What outfit (or pieces of outfits to kitbash together) am I looking for?

Here are some products that might work for you - especially if you can retexture.

Daz has some great suits for Genesis, and for V2, but I couldn't find much in between. The jacket from this looks pretty good, though.

This also has a nice jacket, that looks like it can be textured interestingly as well

Here are a couple of nice free skirts:

Paid stuff from other sites you might like:

or (maybe a bit too sexy)

...unfortunately the closes I could find here is Dressed for Success which is for Steph3 Petite.

Over on Rendo there is 3DAge's Office Suit IV , you might want to check that out

...bugger, already beaten to the punch.

Office Suit IV does look good. Does anyone know whether that top button of the blouse can be done up? (There are plenty of other movement morphs in the blouse, after all.)

And, yes, V4suit is too sexy for this render. But I like the looks of that model... (adds Radiant Jaguar Hair to wishlish here)

I don't own it (it's on my wishlist), but looking at the promo pics for it and all of its texture packs the top button is always undone.

I own this set and I know it opens more if you give me a few hours (at work) I can load it up and do a render to show you how far up it will button.

Well I got to my room and fired up Poser and loaded the Office suit IV shirt and the shirt does not morph closed anymore than you see when it loads but it does morph open all the way if you want it too. Hope this helps you out.

I think there was a business suit for V4 shortly after V4 came out that looked like a woman's suit, but it had a necktie like a man's suit. I have no idea what it was called though, or where it was sold, since I only saw it in renders. This is probably no help at all, :blank: but if anyone knows the item in question, let me know, because I have looked for it over the years and would like to know what it was.

Thanks for checking that for me.

Office Suit IV is still the closest match, but the blouse will need to be replaced with one that buttons up all the way. I've checked, and hiding the open collar with a tie won't work. And I still need to find some "flat" shoes that look more businesslike than Sensible Shoes...

Ironically, there are two business packs that are just about the ONLY items that Content Paradise has ever made available for Rex and Roxie, and they contain a Roxie outfit that's pretty much exactly what you want.

Outside of the ones already mentioned, I know Poserworld has couple of good ones, the City Girl for V4 being the closest to what you're describing. Sadly, the best source for believable women's business outfits (ie something NOT worn by a Joan Collins character or the office floozie) was 9mbi. They had some great women's sets, including several "conservative" dress suits and pants suits that were available for both V4 and their custom Hilary Clinton figure. Unfortunately, they've since disappeared and no one seems to have really tried to fill that market niche... Of course, there's always Pretty 3D's stuff, if you don't mind doing a lot of re-tweaking... :)

...I checked the Doctor Professional Outfit here in the store, but it has the same issue that the blouse cannot be buttoned up all the way.

While looking through my runtime last night I found a set that I think might fit your needs. It is the Billy-T Office set available at Rendo. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/v4a4-officeset/67511/ It is a complete set with skirt, shirt, coat, heels, stockings and a desk prop. While it doesn't have as many morphs as the 3D Age set does it does have the shirt that buttons to the top with a tie. If you like I can laod them up for you and render a side by side comparison for you.

Yes, please! I don't need to see the tie - I wouldn't be using it anyway.

    OK Rob,

Here is the side by side for you. The Office set is on the left and the Office suit is on the right. Hope this helps you out.

+1 on the 3D Age office suit. It's my favorite conservative-without-shoving-it-in-your-face office outfit out there, and his stuff is always packed with morphs. If I remember the skirt has a length morph that performs very well for both longer / shorter. I've found that the "open" morphs on his stuff are also actually very useful for putting on the back of chairs, as well. That allows it to be used as a decoration as well as a piece of clothing.

I think I have a workable outfit - Billy-T's blouse and 3D-Age's jacket and skirt. Shoes... I'm sure I can find something.

The Billy T set comes with a pair of low heel (1 inch ) Slingback shoes and a desk as well, if that helps you out. I know you said that you were wanting flats, and other than some ballerina slip ons all I had in my shoe inventory are heels.

I might be able to get away with one-inch heels... I think we can put this thread to bed now.

    Thanks, everyone, for the help!
