As a PA I must say how impressed I am with the quality of this set. The creator clearly spent months on it. I mean the attention to detail is stunning. The Empire has a worthwhile set of new clothes, for sure.

    ... LOL!

I notice that the description doesn't give a list of included morphs. Can anyone tell me which morphs this works with? I'd hate to buy it and then discover that it doesn't work with my favorite figures.

It looks great but does is come in other colours?

    Maybe a dark tan?

Finally, suitable riding clothes for the Emperor to wear while he gallops around on the Unflatable Pony.

Reminds me of a Vicky outfit, usually used in scenes with a temple and a sword...

hey angusm; you don't have to buy it because it's free :-) but hurry it is only free today
and don't worry it fits all morphs (it fits also perfect for G2F and creature morphs)

It's altogether the very least the Emperor's ever worn. ;-)

    Great, thanks for the update.

Has anyone tried using it in Reality yet? I know that some complicated clothing can lead to extremely slow render times, and by the sound of it, the Emperor's New Clothes must be very ornate. I don't want to load them up and then have my computer slow to a crawl when I try to render.

I hope they come out with a whole series of this exact texture for every one of the DAZ clothing products! Although I know it would require a huge amount of effort.

    :) :) Happy April 1st :) :)

Well, yeah, the render times are definitely a catch with the Emperor Clothes texture. It takes about twice as long rendering compared to the regular texture for the set, in LuxRender and 3Delight. But! it's worth every second. The result is just stunning, blinding the eyes. :coolcheese:

But remember, you'll probably have to adjust every material for Reality. The product page didn't list any compatibility or special materials for Reality. I doubt the default no-res DAZ materials will work well at all. I could be wrong. ;-)

Is there an HD version? I don't use anything that doesn't have an HD version at this point.

Will Texture Converter 2 work on it? I need this for the Vicky male model...

Unfortunately, it looks like the answer is no. It's a texture set for a Genesis2 clothing item. But I'm sure you could copy the textures and use them on other clothing items. Hopefully someone will create a script to make doing that more easy.

    after converting the textures you can use it also for Dragon-Scales;
    see example (before and after)

    500 x 647 - 47K
    D2.jpg
    500 x 647 - 76K

Sometimes poke through can make an otherwise innocuous image into a NSFW pic. I think I'll be proud to show off my renders using this product. It is downloading now.

Umm.. you folks do know it really had a file and installs, Right? As a truly insane person I even did it...

  • BeeMKayBeeMKay Posts: 7,019

Yes, it installs, and when you use it as a texture, it lets the item become invisible.
It's not entirely a useless feature, but one can as well use the all seeing eye and close it to achieve the same effect. :coolsmirk:

It doesn't get any skimpier than this! :gulp: %-P
