remember the fight scene in Avengers, Hulk and Thor are tustling on the flying fortress.

Thor's hair is flopping around, that's the kind of thing i'm trying to animate.

Thanks!

are there any demos of what is possible to accomplish with ca dynamic hair?

:-S i haz to make the big decision to continue making my movie in poser or make the big switch to carrara.
dynamic hair and cloth is a big factor, but poser can't save the calculations to the library, haz to recalc. but don't know if ca can make flop around Thor hair at t'all..

Just to give you wider coverage, I copied your questions to the Carrara forum. See

3DLUST, a DAZ 3D PA, made this example video when I was asking about curly dynamic hair:
    Kinky Hair Test
In that, you can see that higher amounts of air damping can be used to lessen the amount of how much the hair flies around. So You could opt for lower values. You'll see, if you start using Carrara hair, that there are many setting to help get what you want. But like all dynamic hair solutions, it takes practice.

3DLUST also mentioned that he suggests using only primitive spheres for collision. You can turn off the collision of the hair on everything else. I am planning to experiment with this fairly soon.

Perhaps a bit too long... this was a test I did:
    Rosie's Dynamic Hair Test
In this, I have added some forces to the scene to make the hair fly around a bit. But this test was done before I have discovered that I think it's best to do the hair dynamics simulation with nothing else in the scene. Sort of like other objects might add pressure in varying degrees? Not sure. I know that I can find a way to unlock the secret.

But you should know that the difficulties that I am facing is due to the need to have really curly hair. Some of my tests that never made it to a saved state, with straight hair, worked beautifully.
